Being known in our group of friends as the human jukebox, Nico lives and breathes music. With a unique collection of unknown gems, he is always on the lookout for the most special sounds out there. Not only his intuition, but also his storytelling skills have made him one of the main pieces of our LOKD collective.

We are so happy that the moment has finally arrived, to release one of his unique sets. Big thank you Nico!

mia&moa is a Brazilian DJ-duo electronic music project taken as the epitome of a resourceful fringed work without adequate apparatus. Two minds: a fearless mixer with a crumbling computer and a visionary YouTube sonic-collector. By always chasing unlabelable music in a simple and approachable style, over a non-linear narrative strategy, mia&moa' selections are twisting the cult sounds of 90-00's era through time and space and telling in your face that genres aren't that trick if you focus in a cohesive vibe.

This mixtape is a creative and humorous manner that we've found to reconstruct e reconnect to a certain period of our childhood, the carnival revelry - one of the liveliest popular festivals and representative of Brazilian culture. In our hometown, there was a street block called 'Maria Giriza', in which men dressed in feminine adornments and also used animalistic references, scaring children and gathering members and supporters along the way. The event caused some shivers due to the intense characterization and the fervent beats, this is the context of the 130min selection for 'https://soundcloud.com/slowpunch', we hope you can feel a little of that time through this storytelling.

Für mich stand als erstes " Regarde" von "Claap!". In das Lied bin ich schon lang verliebt und jetzt hat sich endlich ein ganzes Mixtape drumherum arrangiert.

▌II Was trinkst du beim Auflegen im Club?
Klassisch Sekt auf Eis. Aber ich habe auch schon Nächte mit Kamillentee hinterm Pult verbracht :)

▌III Hast du in der letzten Zeit etwas Neues gelernt? Neues Wissen, andere Inputs, neue Themen?
Anfang des Jahres habe ich angefangen, selbst elektronische Musik zu produzieren. Ich lerne und mache solang ich denken kann Musik, dass ich nun bald meine eigenen Tracks in Clubs spielen kann macht mich unglaublich glücklich und hibbelig.

How else could the sun burn so brightly in the sky millions of miles away? How else could the stars dance between planets like magnificent fairies against the backdrop of a black curtain? Perhaps that was all that this was, a performance to be watched and observed from down below, the backdrop to something more. 

Tom Ellis is set to release a new EP via Lyssna, the record label run by Mohammed Al Harbiti, Adam Stromstedt and Flord King. It's a beautiful, pensive affair with deep poignant intentions. Highly recommended.

Serkan Eles began his journey in music with leading the guitarist slots for different bands in 2002.After spending some time enjoying playing around with those notes with his guitar, he discovered other kinds of possibilities that he could visionaire upon his sophisticated music taste within the electronic music genres.Upon completing his music production training at SAE Institute Istanbul, he decided to pursue this dream and focused his time building a new career in the electronic music industry. Serkan loves exploring the beats of different electronic music genres in his productions, his sound travels between downtempo electronica, ethnic/melodic house and many other colorful tunes. After successful releases on different labels like BAR25 Music, 3000Grad Records he also founded his own label and made it home to many successful releases which has been streamed over 2.5 million times on different platforms. The vision he created for himself in music inspires Serkan to create the bridge for other artists in his own projects at ‘Dreams Way Music’ & ‘Eles Records’.
