The number 10 has a special meaning in our culture. We celebrate jubilees not on the 3rd or 8th recurrence, but on the 10th. Having stood by something for a decade very much proves that you are convinced that it is the right choice. 
The project Adriatique is approaching its 10th anniversary, but to just call it a project would be a fierce understatement. Adriatique is friendship; creativity; compromise; being together for days on end; experiencing things together for the first time; birth; rebirth; joy and pain; but above all, Adriatique is music.  

So, in order to commemorate these past 10 years, Adriatique bring you “X”.

The three-track EP opens up with “Craft”, the energetic A-side of the record. It has been a highlight in their sets for almost a year now, and one immediately hears why: The intense percussions intertwine with the dramatic melodic elements to create a highly emotive Techno piece. Trademark Adriatique. 

Title track “X” transports you back into the setting of Adriatique’s debut album “Nude”. The nuanced and artistic nature of “X” reveals the vulnerable side of the duo.

Closing off the EP is “Love Modules”, an uplifting Art-House track - An upgrade to their sound spectrum, so to speak. In a way, new terrain. But this is what Adriatique have always been about: not being afraid of taking new roads, constantly reinventing themselves, Finding out what feels right and then doing it.

Not only does this record celebrate 10 years of Adriatique; It is simultaneously catalogue number 10 on their very own “Siamese” imprint, coincidentally occurring a decade after their consortium. Fate is a peculiar fellow, but he is smiling.

'Having previously released on Endangered, Armada Music and RADIANT. Swiss artist Soma Soul readies his next EP for ELEMENTS. Two club-ready tracks featuring remixes from Night Talk and Baime. Title track 'Mahana' is a deep building journey of huge Afro-rhythms and gripping suspensions. A steady kick rolls out, complemented by delicate shakers and contrasting drum fills. Brooding synth swells appear almost randomly over a cascade of synth pads that slowly evolve over time. The track builds up to a passionate breakdown constructed from glitching synth chords over high pitched strings and drop right back into the rich drum-laden groove. 'A Beautiful Place' is a steppy, broken-beat composition with swelling synths and a deep swelling bassline. Soma Soul has taken extra care in his placement of each part, all interlocking effortlessly and making perfect space for one another. The remixes from Night Talk and Baime offer their distinctive takes on the title track, presenting fresh and original ideas with the beautiful sounds at hand.'

And here they roll again. The beloved duo that is Animal Trainer is finally back on Hive Audio after they smashed dancefloors with their „Lost In Space EP“ back in 2018. Now, for the labels first release of 2020, the „Crucita EP“ the conjunctional studio force presents two brand new cuts which are about to define dancefloor vibes for months and seasons ahead.

With „Crucita“, the EPs title track, the two studio wizzards are presenting a highly seductive take on mysterious Tribal-infused TechHouse with floating, aerial synth pads seemingly influenced by remainders of echoes of 80s SynthPop vibewise before progressing further into a fever'ish, melodic state, bringing forth big breakdown sequences and tender, crystalline melodic string arrangements, shimmering like sparkling fairies having a ball in crisp moonlight.

The follow up „Let Me Sing“ sees Animal Trainer on a pumping musical tip. Masterly sculpted muscular bassdrums set the tone right for an ever building array of percussive elements, rolling basslines and intertwined synth progressions moving through a variety of complex filters as a hypnotic main motif leading towards short, yet epic panorama break sequences able to open up punters hearts and souls within only fractions of a second.
