With their second single release from their longplayer "Connected", AKA AKA & Thalstroem invite the singer Jim Hickey into the studio. With his soulful, almost fragile voice Hickey weaves a sound carpet of emotions on the complex beat of AKA AKA & Thalstroem which, with his reduced tempo, builds up an enormous groove until the break. When the guitar play of Thomas Moked unfolds to an inspirational source of harmonies, Hickey's voice starts the prelude to the ecstatic climax of the song.
Dan Caster's remix takes many elements of the original, forces up the tempo and clearly shows that it's meant for the dancefloor. While using the original vocal Caster puts it on a high pitch on the middle part, giving it a serious recognizability; Teenage Mutants divergs quite a bit more from the original and concentrates on his crystal clear bassline and concise drums, which are broken up through spacy layers and wide opening synths and even while having a 4-to-the-floor mix, give time to dream and flow with the music.

After his recent success with "The Devil In Me", a glorious collaboration with Oliver Koletzki as part of Großstadtmärchen 2, Blomqvist currently discovers Switzerland and newly created a smooth and deep club-version of the song. Nothing beats a good friendship. That’s why we are particularly pleased that Niko Schwind and Kellerkind have offered us their first collaborative tracks, which are now being released in the form of LMF006 ‘Lose Control’. 

The title track is a tough and grooving dropped-tempo house cut that lays a ghetto spoken word over a pumping bass line and wild synth crescendos. Clearly the pair is keen to cause some havoc on the dance floor. On his remix, Teenage Mutants tones down the original’s synths and shifts the emphasis on to a dominant bass line, thus creating a low-slung, contemporary-feeling interpretation. 

With ‘Everybody’, Niko Schwind and Kellerkind then present us with an infectious disco-house track made up of vivid synth stabs, laidback vocal chops and filtered breaks. The EP concludes with ‘On the Floor’, which has a slightly dreamier feel due to subtle, stretched-out synth pads that are kept in place by a solid groove.
