A Brief History: Nick Warren & Nick ‘Tripswitch’ Brennan 

The two Nicks first connected in 2006, when Warren contacted Brennan to license the Tripswitch track ‘Roll Your Own’ for his Global Underground ‘GU30 Paris’ compilation, and subsequently took a second track ‘Strange Parallels’ which the latter had been writing for his 2nd Tripswitch album ‘Geometry’. 

Following the incredible success of the GU compilation, the pair kept in contact and over time became good friends, with Warren becoming something of a mentor to Brennan, particularly when the latter launched his first label Section Records and then started to broaden his productions from chillout into progressive house. Who better to ask advice than the Godfather! 

In 2011 Warren remixed the Tripswitch track ‘Collider’ for Section, and then included it in his ‘Balance 018’ comp. In 2013, Warren again nabbed two new Tripswitch tracks – ‘Still Seas’ and ‘Sick Teckers’ – for his Renaissance ‘The Masters Series: Part 18’ comp, and the same year the pair DJ’d back-to-back at the exclusive Kimberley Festival. 

With their musical tastes so aligned going right back to the 1980’s, it was inevitable that given the right opportunity the two would eventually collaborate in the studio, and in 2016 just such an opportunity arose with the first release on Warren’s new The Soundgarden label, where they joined forces to remix the Joey Fehrenbach track ‘Wolves’. 

The studio chemistry worked like a dream and the pair turned in a belting, swirling, nu-disco remix that complemented the leftfield-electro original perfectly and, soon after, the two Nicks were planning their next outing, which came in the form of their first original production together – ‘Savannah’. 

Originally released in a slowed down form on Hernan Cattaneo’s ‘Balance presents Sudbeat’ compilation, it was then given the Sudbeat single release treatment at the original tempo, along with remixes from Guy Mantzur and Mariano Mellino.  ‘Savannah’ went on to become one of the hottest progressive releases of 2017.

When Brennan launched his new onedotsixtwo imprint in summer 2017, with its focus on releasing the highest quality progressive house music, this was the perfect excuse for another set of collaborative studio sessions, and ‘Voight Kampff’ (ODST0003) is the dazzling result. 

With another collab already underway and a fifth in the pipeline for later in the year, this is an alchemic production partnership that plays to the strengths of both artists and is set to bear delicious fruit for a long time to come.

Deep Down Progressive Sounds 030 with EELKE KLEIJN(DAYS like NIGHTS)

This is a live recording of the last hour from his epic 3 hour set from earlier this year in Sydney, Australia for one of our events. What an incredible night with picked house filled with music lovers.  


Eelke Kleijn is a rare talent. With work stretching across movie trailer scores, deep live shows, and incredibly well-formed production, he crosses a boundary from electronic producer and into a true modern-day composer. With peers and tastemakers standing up for this unmistakable imagination, the Rotterdam based music maker’s potential has no bounds.

With 2 artist albums delivered, an array of originals and first class remixes what he has achieved thus far would be any DJ’s reverie. Ultra to EMI, Global Underground to 3 Beat Records and Spinnin’ to Sudbeat have seen the young Dutchman’s vision in productions become world heard. With each record distinct but all out floor fillers, they have been pumped out in his epic sets from Argentina to Netherlands and Australia to the UK.

Furthering his cinematic endeavours, Eelke released his bootleg for The Hunger Games song ‘The Hanging Tree’ by James Newton Howard featuring leading lady Jennifer Lawrence. Having also built a new studio last year, Eelke spent much of his time creating new music leading up to the launch of his new imprint DAYS like NIGHTS in 2017.

After the success (which I did not expect) of the first edition, I decided to keep doing my new series "Deep Progressive". Like the first one, this set does not have an exact frequency - it will happen as long as I have enough songs to create it.

Let's remember how everything began:

On March 11, 2018, it was a sunny Sunday morning in São Paulo and I decided to make a set much slower than usual, looking for deeper sonorities whose focus is to be appreciated and not danced. More head, less body.
The name of the set came after considering several others and the result ended up being the most obvious possible: "Deep Progressive Session # 01". This way, listeners will know what it is before they even play it. Straight to the point. And #01 because you never know tomorrow, although I do not intend to do it monthly (like my "Hypnotic Sessions at Saturo Sounds"), I really liked the result and I believe it will become a new series of mine , another side of Gui Milani.

The purpose here is to transmit moments of peace, appreciation, contemplation to you. In addition to getting out of my comfort zone and testing songs that I had but never had the opportunity to play them live.

I hope you like it and if possible send me feedback, I need to know if I'm on the right line regarding this kind of sound too. Enjoy!
