Champagne Supernova - Oasis (Cover)

The co-founder of the American Indian Movement, Dennis Banks called on my cousin, Kid Valance to create a song that speaks as the voice of authority to the pain and loss caused by the devastation of drug addiction, especially the rising heroin epidemic and domestic violence. I then became part of the project and collaborated on this song.

“To Be Here” is a welcoming invite - a collective experience to bring all of us together, especially those who have been affected by drug addiction and domestic violence. Bass played by (as well as mixed and mastered) by Fool’s Chaos. Flute, as well as other percussive instruments played by Janice T. Sunflower.

I can't even explain how excited I was when Fool's Chaos said he would collaborate on this with me! I could only dream of what he would create. I've always wanted to do a rock version of Ave Maria like this. We bounced ideas off of each other and spent countless late nights figuring out chord changes and what should come next. I cried tears each time I opened a new email and listened to his beautiful work. Fool's Chaos is the most talented musician and songwriter I know. He has the most amazing mind and I am so happy we could work on this together. This is a dream come true! :)
