German producer and musician Matthias Vogt makes a highly anticipated return to iconic London-based label Anjunadeep with a brand new collaboration titled ‘Higher Love’. The track features the smooth, sleek vocals of Swedish soul singer Jonatan Bäckelie. This dreamy cut has all that it needs to take the listener drifting away. Joining Vogt on the release is rising talent Powel (All Day I Dream, Das Sind Wir), the Berlin producer turns in his own contribution in two delectable remixes.

Premiere: Matthias Vogt - Higher Love feat. Jonatan Bäckelie [Anjunadeep]

Found this in my library from 2011. 
Similar to Monica's 1995 'Don't Take it Personal', the lyrics relate the classic story of the independent shorty(my perpetual heroine)who takes time to soothe her lover while also practicing self-care and saving the world from ultimate ruin. 
The track loops the opening from Sufjan's 'I Walked' off of his 2010 album 'The Age Of Adz' which I kept on repeat while driving around the California sierras, where I was living at the time.  The song I created here would later become Holla Mears released on Made In Height's second ep Aporia: In These Streets.
