This EP had its origins on a solo camping trip before lockdowns, iso, and the year everyone would like to forget. But for a lot of people, it was a year of growth and learning as well. I loved having the opportunity to focus on learning about recording, mixing, writing and gaining confidence in performing along the way. It’s taken me a while, but I am so excited to share with you my first EP full of weird tunes inspired by the strange reality we found ourselves in during 2020, as well as some of my favourite sci-fi/fantasy stories.

As the evening sun casts shadows, all I see is the light
As it dips below the horizon, I feel the urge to write
To somehow capture this feeling, this perfect moment in time
But my being, is suspended, somehow separate from my mind

Loops come to a standstill, a closed circuit no more
A calmness washes over me, like waves to a shore
Such a sense of stillness, while the world carries on
The balance, and the beauty, and to this I am drawn

Drawn in to this moment, feet firm on the ground
I feel my head clearing, as I look around
Feels like the first time, I have noticed the way
The birds sing, and the breeze blows, it’s here I wish to stay

Shadows Of The Evening Sun

What would the earth be like if humans suddenly vanished from existence? Kinda peaceful maybe...

The red moon hung low over the city
The damp air clung tightly to my skin
Walked those streets so dark and empty
Few remnants left of what had been
 
Water lines on every building
Nature beginning to reclaim
All we used and all we squandered
Just looking out for our own gain
 
Maybe some would think it’s sadness
To see this world without our mark
But the world is moving on without us
And we have left to many marks
 
Now the water has stopped rising
And the fires have gone out
Not a trace of mankind left now
That’s the fate we brought about
