Considering I didn't grow up with Christmas, performing a Christmas cover was a layered thought process.
This song was one that my mom and I shared many times over growing up, and to me seemed like the only bit of a Christmas melody we could openly share with one another. The album it came off of, Blue, was one that changed the way I listened to music as a kid and made a deep imprint on me for the rest of my life.

It was important for my interpretation of something I had such a deep connection too, not be straight forward seeing as that is not the type of artist I am.
