playing with sounds is a thing i love doing! i got my first keyboard for christmas when i was 7 or 8 years old. it was a 1990 or '91 Casio SA-21. thinking back, ..i never learned a fracking chord, scale or note on that thing! :S .. but i've managed to squeeze a couple tunes out of it 14 years later during a jam-session in 2004 with a mate -'sa-21 experiment')

the earliest recordings and programmed tunes i've got lying around is from 2002. Since then me and my mates have come together as many bands. 3-5 times every year. back then i used soundforge to make samples, hammerhead to make beats, sawcutter for them wierd analogue synthlines, puttin it all together was done with .. soundforge, audiocity, cubase and acid, .. haha *laff*
with time i figured i needed a more powerful tool; so i looked at sum alternatives.
i ended up downloading a tracker. yes; tracker! Renoise! the oldest renoise projectfile in one of my many systematic backupfolders on my laptop dates september 2006 (how to learn to learn yourself), and i've been using and stayed true to Renoise since.. after using a v1.5 warez version for a while i bought v1.8 and at the moment running 2.8

Renoise is my primary tool for both production and live jamming or performing with Redux. The exact application I described in the forums years ago with features and how it should make live ez at. (wow! 2024 here: this is soo old. I haven't made a xrn file for 10 years or so. But as I've kicked the habits I think I might find being creative wiv sounds and samples again brings a warm feeling. only problem is I have not a single VST, Instruments nor FX. Sample packs? none... my first studio is in storage at my baby's mamas house in Australia. 42hr flight yeah! but I can't afford to even get a Korg Mk3 keyboard with the 8 programmable pads and the other stuff. but starting building a VST library and sample library is not exactly the easiest to start over.... if u want to help out msg me! Thanks!!


my laptop is ... was hooked up to a Korg padKontrol i program on 2 midi ports to control multiple effects in any (and many) applications that has got midi support with proper midi-mapping features. computer output from a Native Instruments AudioKontrol1 soundcard playing on M-audio BX5a studio monitors. mic-input from a cheap zennheiser e835 mic. i'm just learning to use my BOSS DR303 SP Sampler. All in storage inMelbourne. i've got running with 2 decks and a 3ch mixer. besides that i have the earlier mentioned sa-21 keyb. 2 flutes, 2 acoustic guitars and 2 hand-drums. Audiokontrol1 2x 70W Active M-Audio BX5a Studio Monitors, the 3 mini series of MIDI kontrollers. knobs+buttons, sliders and the third I can never remember... anyway. I'm thinking about giving this MINT CONDITION BOSS DR 303 SP with 64MB cards and 2TB Audio Library.... He could become very good if he wanted. Smart kid. If not C, then R. He's a nerd like me. I'm 40 now, .. but I want to start messing with Big Dirty Stinkin' Baseline (Dizzee Raz - Baseline Junkie👌) Wish he'd do a remix for a CSGO 1Deag Junkie Tribute Fragmovie hehe.

now I run 2 5" monitors and a 8 IO TRS and 4 XLR, midi IO and guess what.. this EIE Professional Soundcard looks analogue, but is over 12yrs old, and it was so ahead of it's time. 3x USB hub on the back! dafuq?
