Been a little homesick lately so I did this here mash-up of some Chinese pop and Dirty South rappers. East meets West and North meets South on this track as I get down on the globalization tip.

Dance remix of an old track by inimitable afrobeat master Manu Dibango. The samples are cut and glitched in real time using Reactable Live and I improvised synth solos on top with the program's native synths.

Despite the title, the song's apolitical. I do encourage you to take it to the streets though, and while you're there, why not dance?

K3LV1N CL0N3 - GueRiLLA DiSC0

Nice little mellow track. Lots of chords and FX flourishes over a sparse drum beat and basic bass line. Starts off relaxed and laid-back, but toward the end it gets kinda hardcore. The last part would make a good beat to rap over if you'd like to sample it. You have my permission for non-commercial use. 

A bit about the process. This track was made using Ableton Live and a suite of different software synths including the Arturia V Moog Collection, Native Instruments Battery and Kontakt. 

I tried something new this time. I made an assortment of chords and FX in a certain key beforehand to create a palette of audio to work with. Then froze and flattened them and built the track by cutting and pasting the audio instead of working with MIDI.

I read somewhere that Timbaland works this way. It seemed to be successful. Tell me what you think. And try it out for yourself.
