It was a little over four years ago when I was all about playing that Afro-House sound. South African  Producers like the great Black Coffee, DJ Kent, Black Motion and Culoe De Song and many others of course had plenty to do with that. Although I've played that Afro style in almost all of my mixes and I have done featured sets: "Joburg," "A Trip to Capetown," "Journey to South Africa," and probably my most popular SA influence to date: "Black Coffee (The Tribute Mix)." Talk about a "Pop Up Mix" this set came together so organically, I was just fooling around playin' some tunes in the lab and ended up catching a serious vibe. The next thing I knew I just had to push the record button. Most of these songs I've had for quite a while like: "Blessed" by Those Boys and "Tarzan" by the legendary Roy Ayers and of course "Time" by The Realm Remixed by Phil Asher aka "Restless Soul" who the House Music community sadly just lost only a few days ago. (R.I.P)
I had to throw in a couple of brand new soulful gems to complete the vibe like: "What A Difference" and "Can We Take" and two underground bangers from the late great "Purple One" himself...
