Following on from head-spinning remixes for Satin Jackets and Franz Matthews & Lo- cal Suicide, Melbourne based The Oddness returns to Eskimo Recordings with a new 3 track EP that showcases the Australian producer’s eclectic, psychedelic approach
to club music.
With its hypnotic dub disco beat, swirling pipes and mantra like chants ‘Distant Voices’ is a tie-dyed cosmic number that would be the perfect track to kickstart any tropical rainforest rave. An invitation to a dancefloor initiation that keeps the tempo low and the strangeness dialled up.
Suitably warmed up it’s time for some real freaky dancing and ‘Twisted Diva’ is just the thing to get those limbs flailing in all sorts of strange directions. Over an irresi- stible beat, a multitude of different trance inducing sounds, melodies and snatches of vocals drift in and out of the mix before echoing off into infinity.Rounding out the EP we have ‘Get It Together’, another dose of psychedelic, dub flavoured electronica.
Originally featured on Eskimo’s recent compilation The White Collection, the chug- ging beat on ‘Get It Together’ provides the perfect backdrop for myriad sounds to rattle and reverb their way into the cosmic ether and close out the EP.

R o l a n d s o n has been a long term companion of BeYond, playing the first ever set for us at BeHome some winters ago. A true storyteller, he has led us on many voyages, as the winds from the Baltic sea carried him to Berlin we begin this new journey together on a ship of time bending depth, arriving to meet glorious moments and experience places out of this realm. Maybe even something that could be considered "Lost Time" recaptured. 

A swift adventure through mesmerizing and hypnotic beats, beginning with a ceremonial pinch leading into a guidance of housey punchlines which steadily travel throughout this wondrous piece of auditorial beauty. 

A truly artistic compilation touching the unexplored, yet held with an anchored groove, our curiosity is pushed further, spinning between lost and found. We are drawn into an exploration where deeper voices call messages from beyond this realm and sweet incantations are whispered into our ears, R o l a n d s o n weaves our direction bringing us an acoustic embodiment, letting us forget what is obscured. Time.  

Amongst the waves of curiosity, we are reminded that no one is left alone. Not here. Not there. Not beyond measure. We reach the point when the spinning will stop and all of us children will be fine.

Hello ,

My name is Florin or Flo Reen :)) ... I am from Ramnicu Valcea, Romania .... and I am 37 years old this November.
With music ... I came face to face at the age of 6 ... when I was enrolled at the School of Musical Arts in Rm. Valcea ..where I developed a passion for violin and piano .... somewhere in the 7th grade. there was a rupture with this unit of music education ... after which ..music of the 80s-90s ..after which followed the rap ... and after which .. later .. in 2003 I did acquaintance with the House in a serious way. It had such a strong effect .. that it surpassed everything else. The first song I listened to ... belonging to Dennis Ferrer & Jerome Sydenham - Sandcastles (Mark Knight Remix) ... after which .. one of my friends I grew up with ... started Dj`ing ... and look ... easy easy ... I went through all sorts ... until I found my style. It was a big plus for me ... that's how I realized that I like more genres of House music.
In 2018 I started to put music ... as a joke ... more like a gift for the birthday of the man mentioned above ... and so on .. from October to May ... I practiced ..incessantly. I bought a Pioneer XDJ-RX1 and that's how what you hear today started :)). In May 2019 I met the public for the first time ... this time I was the one who put on the music :)) After which the joke thickened ... and became like a virus ... I was encouraged to continue. I discovered that I really like Deep-House and Organic-House ... especially ... but that didn't stop me from looking for pleasure in other genres as well. I hope you like it ... and if that's the case ... I hope to hear from you again. I wish you a pleasant audition!

The album serves as the 3rd release of Yela’s Trunk Muzik series, including the original Trunk Muzik & its sequel Trunk Muzik Returns.

“TM3 (Ft. DJ Klever),” the album’s lead single, was released March 15th, 2019 and was later followed up with the record’s second single “Catfish Billy 2” on March 22nd.

The Alabama native promoted the album with a list of freestyles, most notably the controversial “Bloody Sunday Freestyle,” that garnered major media coverage.

On March 28th, 2019, one day before its release, Trunk Muzik 3 was leaked online.
