The experiment is to orchestrate a common 'psybient' type sequenced synthesizer. It's practice for the pieces of music to be composed soon.

The orchestral arrangement is inspired from a movie I am sure but I cannot remember which one..... If anybody has an idea please comment

The fastest way I thought I could express my appreciation for your support in helping keeping my Soundcloud active is by recording a fresh set. So here it is ! This set is pure tech - no progressive. Consisting of two parts split 30 mins each, the first part is centered around deep tech and the 2nd half more on big room tech tunes of 'techno comme on l'aime' for my mauritian friends. A recording of the set I played for DREAMERS by LaIsla to celebrate Music Day 2023. The set starts out with some 117bpm deep melodic tech & finishes around 123 bpm with melodic progressive tech. Focusing on the feel good factor, harmonies, melodies, rhythm & groove, I curated this playlist by exploring some music from South Africa, Israel & Europe amongst others, and including a few tracks from my all time favorite progressive & melodic producers. And finishing with a local touch by yours truly (playlist below).

I've always loved La Isla events. They always bring me joy, not only through the great musical experiences but also through the quality of conversations you can have with people. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to play a set for them.

I played this set on the 04.08.2018 at Radisson Blu, Roche Noires, Mauritius for The Lost Oracle by Secret Models. I put quite a bit of effort into the preparation of this set. Emotions are musically defined by melodies and harmonies, I knew I would be playing to younger crowd per say, a crowd which would be much more in touch with their emotions than the darker techno crowd of Mauritius to which I usually play. So this set is a careful selection of tracks to convey huge energies and emotions to lift you up to drive you forward! In anycase it works for me, hope it does for you too! <3

This is the DJ set I played to warm up for Vini Vici for 'The Darkwoods Festival' by Secret Models in Mauritius on the 6th October 2018.

I'd like to thank all of you for your kind words and massive response to the music. And I also thank Secret Models for the trust in giving me the warm up slot. Thanks to Tahir for allowing me record my set with his recorder.

2/3 of the set I played for the first edition of PURE #UNWAVERING held over 3 days at LUX* Grand Gaube, a 5 star resort on the north east coast of Mauritius. Superb production, really well organised event and a very enthusiastic crowd to play for! Heaps of fun!

Ken Zo - Born in Mauritius

One of the leading DJs & Producers in Mauritius and pioneering local underground electronic music culture. With nearly 15 years of DJing under his belt, He has been involved in most of the bigger events in Mauritius, and was also co-organiser for events that hosted big names like Grouch, Breger, Evil Oil Man, Merkaba. He was also part of the organisation of E K T A Festival 2015, one of the first 3 day electronic music event hosted in Mauritius.

Usually known for his compositions with a defining take on Psytech, his DJ sets on the other hand exude versatility and he covers many genres from deep house to full on psychedelic trance with all genres in between.

In 2017, he was awarded the Backstage Award for Best DJ. 

He grew up surrounded by music. His mother was his first music teacher going over the basics of piano and singing. His parents enrolled him for violin classes at the age of 7 at the Conservatoire de Musique Francois Mitterrand where he also learnt music theory in french. At the age of 13 he moved on to the Conservatoire de Musique Frederic Chopin where he was trained in piano and music theory in English,

Simultaneously during his teen years, Fabrice experimented with many genres - pop, rock, rnb - and played in many amateur bands and orchestras playing guitar, violin and keys.

He started DJing and producing in 2007 under the alias Mr.Snob playing commercial and progressive house as well as an occasional techno set here and there. The beginning was mostly birthday parties and school fairs with very rare club gigs. His career started picking up around 2011 just when he flew off to Melbourne Australia for his studies. He performed throughout Australia under his knew alias Ken Zo, finding his place within the niche psychedelic community playing fusion sets of techno and psy.
