when I wrote “Treasure You”

I was just coming out of an unlikely relationship with someone I loved & still have love for.

I Was also finding myself & becoming A new version of myself, Growing & out Growing things and people, It was A confusing time, feeling like I was losing someone I loved, & also losing myself at the same time,

for me “Treasure You” is about grieving the loss of someone & also grieving the loss of an old version of yourself! Whilst also appreciating everything that you’ve been through to become the person you are now!

Life is too short to be stuck in a situation that is not helping you grow as a person, try remember that the next time you in a situation you want to leave, but feel obligated to stay in!

“Not Wasting Tear” I Wrote About A Situation Back In October 2019, & I Had A Friend Who Is Now An Ex-Friend That Basically Pit Me & My Best Friend, Who Also Happened To Be My First Love, Against Each Other! And I Felt So Hurt, Shame & Gaslighted,

My Best Friend Turned Against Me & I Was Basically Left In The Dirt Like Never Matter, And It’s Funny Because When It Was Happening In My Head I Mad It So Dramatic But As It Went On & As I Was Going Through It, Back & Forth With Them, I Slowly Started To Realise That I Was Better Off Without That Situation, 

And It Was The End Of Something That Should Have Ended A Long Time Ago, My Mindset Started To Change. I Thought I’ve Been Through So Much Worse. 

So Much As This Heartbreak Hurts, Why Am I Letting This People who Clearly Don’t See Me, Phase Me, These People Show Me Colours, “Not Wasting Tears” My Way Of Reminding Myself That I’m Good, And There More For Me Out There!

“Careless” is The Only Song On The E.P That I Wrote On The Piano, I just had gone for a really harsh and heartbreaking break up with someone who I really loved and respected and thought understood me, 

And I was at the piano, my friends house and I recorded a 30 second voice memo, and I remember when I came up with the lyric “Mary, Jane & Drinks Won’t Make me Forget” I Started To Tear Up, 

Because Me & This Guy Went Through So Much Together, Good & Bad And I Held Him On Such A High Pedestal Until It all crumbled, and I saw The Situation For It Actually Was!

“Arm’s-Length” I Wrote A Situation With My Ex, we Had A Lot Of Ups & Downs, 
And Everytime we Had Are Down, he Would Say “ We Should Keep Each Other At Arm’s-Length” And It Got On My Nerves So Much, Because The Next Second He’d Be Running Back! And It Was Be That Constant Cycle! And I Was To Dumb & Wiped To Finally End Things! Until I Finally Did, That’s How Arm’s-Length Was Born!
