We met Juran at Garage Noord, for an intimate listen to his live performance on a quiet Thursday evening. As only a nightly lullaby could do, this mixtape literally pulls you upside down into the deepest mind-frames of your consciousness. Swinging from abstract melodies to synthetic percussive cuts, @kendubari's selection is shapeless and capable of infinite interpretations.

After a little maintenance break, we are back in style with the other half of Sann Odea: Kendu Bari. When we first heard “Alee” 6 months ago, we instantly understood the vision of the journey that this rising artist has set out for himself. 
Originally starting out playing only drum & bass years ago. After that, he focussed on experimental club around 130-140 bpm and now he is finding himself pushing it faster again and almost coming full circle. Selecting and placing the tracks carefully in this mix to guide towards a representation of, not so much the music he creates right now, but more of the heavy club-oriented sounds creating a dynamic ride containing breakbeat, techno, bass, and leftfield. 

His highlights are the first and last track; the first one ‘Oracle’ is a beautiful synths-only track by Modo Mero that was released on Sann Odea, the label he runs with Yb3L. The last one is an unreleased banger by Teqmun that will soon tear up many dance floors. Keep an eye out for both of them!

jmoy is the musical alias of artist and designer Justin Moy. Influenced by his background in architecture, the Amsterdam-based producer draws analogies between spatial design and musical composition, seeking to tell imaginary spatial narratives through sound.

The music resulting from this is a sonic journey traveling through a sequence of spaces, transitioning between interiors, exteriors, and the thresholds between them.

The first culmination of these sonic and spatial explorations is "Udys," jmoy's debut EP. "Udys" consists of four tracks, each envisioned as a narrative journey through and imaginary world. Atmospheric and rhythmic elements found within field recordings from his environments lay the foundation for each track.

This entry comes from born and raised Amsterdam producer, DJ, and multidisciplinary artist @Yb3L. Throughout the mix, they establish several long-distance, electrical connections in preparation for the next edition of TOWER, April 25 at Bossa Nova Civic Club in Brooklyn.

@WARECOLLECTIVE is one of our favorite experimental music labels. For us, it represents one of the most innovative and forward-thinking club music on SoundCloud. We tried to connect with the label in the past but were somehow unsuccessful. 

Now it has changed. With the new EP by WARE's founder @KLAHRK on another brilliant British label @all-centre-504822953, we give you an interview with the label boss, talented producer and DJ. 

On the "Z2" EP, the London-based artist delivers four atmospheric slow-fast club cuts, exploring the lowest depths of the sonic frequency spectrum.

GTEP04 excitingly welcomes german producer Kid Kun to Ghosttown Records. These three productions beautifully display Kid Kun´s personal take on modern, UK schooled techno hybridity. “Creep” introduces the listener to an industrial soundscape, spiced by eerie vocal chops. It’s undeniably dark, but powerfully driving energy continues to evolve with “Recharge” whose grimy claps fuse with thundering basslines. “Saturn”, finally, takes Kid Kuns sound to the faster paced realms where it hypnotically nods at DnB infused steppers. To round off the EP in style, Berlin based Cocktail Party Effect takes on “Creep” and transforms it into the ultimate uptempo roller. All through, a powerful display of high-end dancefloor-tools. GTEP04 is out 24th of May via Ghosttown Records.

Premiere: Kid Kun - Recharge | Ghosttown

Amity’s next outing is keeping it a family affair, with co-honcho Mulholland entering the fray. This follows a breathtaking EP from Elpac & Bristol royalty, Grove. Not to mention ‘that’ V/A last year, containing some of the best about (Cassius Select, Saskia & Pluralist, to name a few), the label is quickly establishing itself at the heart of a burgeoning underground scene.

Mulholland’s catalogue has flourished too, with stand out releases on imprints like Martyn’s 3024, CloudCore, Banoffee Pies & Woozy. This record however, feels like a significant landmark and perhaps his best work to date, all whilst being on home turf just makes it feel even more right. There’s a definite theme with serious sub-pressure laced through unique bass lines, shifting each track into a certified dance floor weapon. The EP doesn’t shy away from interesting perc work & clever sampling either, making it an extremely well-rounded release and another big step for Mulholland and Amity.

"The inspirations for this ep came from different moments I lived (or experienced?) during the past 6 months:
From a few but very interesting club nights out in Berlin, to my discovery of the post-dubstep movement that basically paved the way to modern genres that I'm producing now, till the tens of hours of Rinse FM (or "radio mixes" idk which better) mixes I listened to at my new workplace where I was spending most of the day alone in the gloomy winter of the city.

I usually like to put a little playful touch to my tunes, but this time I felt like I had to focus more on a darker progressive-techno sound. Maybe because my sound matured, or maybe its just a phase. I don't know, but I'll keep on following the traces that brought me here."
