Asked to describe his music to a new listener one might falter. While it's true that there is a very specific sound at the core of his music, it is the fluid nature of Deetron's work that defines him as an artist. Yet there is one word that can be used to sum up this dynamic musical mind and the polymorphic sounds that he has mastered - Maverick.

His second album "Music Over Matter", which was released on Music Man end of last year, finds Deetron in a unique, transitional phase. The vocal element of his music coming to the fore, with his 2nd album he proves that there is no substitute for substance and skill, putting music firmly back in the frame is the message, and how poignant to today's tumultuous industry.

For the new single 'Love Song', Deetron calls on the vocal talents of oddball techno superstar Seth Troxler. Steve Bug brings his Traffic Signs alias back to life for the remix, and adds an instrumental version too. Without a doubt an irresistible package for any DJ.

It's been 10 years since their last release on 20/20 Vision, but it is with great excitement that we welcome Spirit Catcher back to the label with their aptly named Blast From The Past EP! 

As one of the corner stones of 20/20, their early singles and album are legendary label artefacts and these guys were total pioneers of the cosmic, disco infused house sound which then became prominent in following years. 

Blast From The Past has been getting heavy rotation in Ralph Lawson's sets over the summer and so we're really glad to finally see it reach the light of day. This one is a trip into hyperspace with cosmic synth pulses leading the way before a killer bass line takes you track straight to planet Spirit Catcher! 

On the flip Closer takes the trip further with more expert bass hooks being joined by vox pads and otherwordly fx. The EP is finished off with Routing Madness, a homeage to the duos love for analogue studio gear which you can hear in the intricate synth patterns which pop and weave through the tracks duration.

One of Detroit Swindle's highlights of last year was Nebraska’s ‘Soften the wireless’ EP, with disco stomper Khan’s Bargain, and an amazing Tom Noble remix. Since then, they have seen him take on quite a few live shows again, playing at Claire during ADE, and Concrete for their label showcases. He’s also managed to ﬁnd a bit of time to focus on his fresh (new and cool) edit label ‘Friends and Relations’. Luckily, since they’ve been nagging him to do a new EP for Heist just enough for him to still like them, and more than enough for him to want to get it over with, they’ve gotten their hands on another set of amazing tunes. So they are happy to present his amazing music, nicely packaged in one handy record for your listening pleasure : the ‘Metaphor to the ﬂoor’ EP. 
You’ll feel a hint of that Nebraska classic ‘This is the way’ on the lead track ‘Afﬁrmation’, with its subtle build up and release of energy, looping vocals, and dramatic chords. Aglio e Olio is not only a simple yet tasty Italian dish with of just 5 ingredients, it’s also quite the track on this EP, equalling the dish in terms of simplicity and strength. Snares on the 1, Clavi style hits and a loose arrangement give this track a great funk – house crossover appeal. 
On the ﬂip, we’ve got fellow Londoner Laurence Guy, who just released an amazing album on the equally cool ‘Church’. His version of Aglio e Olio is a dreamier excursion with ﬁltered pads, acidey licks and more than enough balls in the low end to get you movin’ in your dim-lit club of choice.  The ep’s ﬁnal track sees Nebraska turning the energy up a notch or 2 (or 3), with ‘Big plate chicken’. It’s the sort of track you would imagine Omar S. producing if he would be just a bit whiter, and a bit more British. Whatever that means.
