Dj Salazar - Sea Of Sorrow

Peachlyfe (they/them) is a hydra-sonic electronic musician that shook & seduced the Copenhagen fast-paced techno scene, claiming their seat along with Endurance and Fast Forward.
Peachlyfe’s productions and live-sets rebelliously weave across genres, trippy melodies cut with heavy slaps while whispering in your ear about the dismantlement of the ‘cistem’. Their EP “All Tits are Real, All Money is Fake, All Hail Satan” is an ode to that anarchic-playfulness, a marvellous feat in blending rave-rush joy and queer defiance.
In early 2022, Peachlyfe releases “Against All Reason” on marum’s and BLEID’s label suspension, a 4-chapter tale through soundscapes of glitch, trancey dunes and euphoria, a vision excitedly in synch with the wave of dancefloor reopenings. 

“Against All Reason 1” opens with a cryptic and urgent sound-manifesto that envelopes the ideas behind this release. Prompted by the central question of Susan Schupli’s documentary “Can the Sun Lie”, Peachlyfe investigates que question of “reason”, a driving-question that appears in previous releases but under different shapes - the cis-hetero patriarchy that dictates which bodies, tits or dixx, expressions or sounds are respectable (or not). Those who challenge such canons are deemed ugly, inferior, swamp monsters. And so what? Against all reason, we love the swamp!

As the tone is set, “Against All Reason 2” blows it all up. The existential question is answered through gallopant beats and progressively euphoric harmonies, nudging the body straight into a glorious dance, followed by “Dance the Day Away” that steps up the parade with their seductive pace overlaid with a mesh of sexy sounds soaked on high-tone energy and joy - undoubtedly the uplifting anthem for 2022 we all needed. 
The deep slow burn “Creature Feature” journeys through looming synths and distant vocal-echoes, eventually jolted with a punching heartbeats, creating an other-worldly trip. The perfect closure of this album that so harmoniously seems to thread conflicting feelings and sounds, making space to cheerfully embrace the unknown, against all reason.

Smell the radio! Listen to the flowers! Taste the music! Dance the day away

Imitate yourself! Imitate others! Imitate an image! It’ll be far more trustworthy than whatever they’re showing through your local window!

FIRE UP: Fifteen successful releases later, Anetha continues to fan the flames with MTY-FEU, an incandescent new compilation. Titled «Ils s’embrasèrent, réduits ensemble», the release stands for fusion and oneness.

Bursting from the depths of the earth, magma is devouring: melting hot techno, deep techno, fast techno, firestorms of trance, eruptions of hard groove, break, mental, smoldering experimental… MTY-FEU is a lava flow of boiling, vital energy, unstoppable and full of blistering textures.

During the Nuit Blanche (A1), we surrender. We, the offer. Our fire is combusting. Our feet, stomping.
Berserk, in a fury, there’s No End (C1) to this party. In a trance, Eternal Echoes (E2) beguiles us all, until we become one into the Molten Core (H2) of Inferno. Ils s’embrasèrent, réduits ensemble.

The incredibly talented visual artist FEMUR crafted the artwork by creating an AI-generated meta-crackle of fire. Diplomatie Studio handled the design while mastering was entrusted to Sixbitdeep, except for Anetha’s edit, where mix and mastering credits go to Le Dom. We’ve opted for bio-vinyls for this release, knowing that one day these records will return to ashes, only to rise again, like the phoenix.
