A New World 2021 by LogiK Monkey 
is a session that is based on the music Kenne Perry plays at some of the biggest parties in Europe. Greenkomm in Cologne is the biggest after hours party of Europe that is returning at the end of September. 

And around the same time Brussels is opening a new club: jungle bar. For this venue Logik Monkey made a few lounge sessions during the pandemic. But the style for this venue will be a mix between the progressive and afro & etnic house sound of LogiK Monkey. 

Cave is a returning name in the nightlife of Brussels. 

And for the people who are wondering: Yes Europe's biggest gayparty is returning: soon more news about La Demence and Fuse Club.

In just a few days I am performing for the first time with this project. In the 20 minutes here I can give already an idea of what LogiK Monkey stands for.

In the next few days I will post a longer session here. It's to promote this project.

Already two big names have signed . La Demence in Brussels and Greenkomm in Cologne. Hopefully more clubs follow.

It's the first mixed tape of LogiK Monkey. A music project by Kenne Perry. 

Already a second performance in this style is planned on sunday 3rd of December at the after hour : Greenkomm in Cologne.

LogiK Monkey - Mixed Tape n° 1

In 1997 his debut DJ set was an instant succes that changed the Belgian clubscene of the late 90's. In only a few months time he became the deejay that rise above the successes of the Belgian Top dj's with a completely new approach to the art of deejay. And over the years many have tried to define what he was doing without succes. And for over 25 years now he has been always working at one of the Belgiums top 5 most popular clubs or venues. It brought him to many different party's in many European countries. 

But his fanbase reaches to every corner of the world with people from different generations and cultures. He became more obsessed in the last decade by finding as many versions of tracks he likes or can use in dj gigs. Since 2004 playing mostly in the LGBTIQ+ partyscene. And been part of many successful venues and parties by creating a unique sound for each venue he played at.

In 2019 LogiK Monkey became a name, Kenne Perry started to use to reclaim his place in the trendsetting more clubby underground club scene. Something he perfectly managed to achieve again by using music genres long before most others did blend genres and transform them into a new illusionair genre. 

During the pandemic in 2020 he worked many hours to reorganise the storage of most music he had collected so far. It only made him fall in love and understand his role in Europe's LGBTQIA+ clubscene where he is one of the most famous names you will find. (All without the use of agencies, media attention, music productions, managements, ... )

Kenne Perry has been around for a long time. And he did some very diverse things both on the Cruise and at the third level of La Demence. But since two years he was reconnecting to his main style, and it became the beginning of something new. He started the project LogiK Monkey to continue this path. LogiK Monkey (BE) is a project by Kenne Perry.

Who is LogiK Monkey (BE)
Kenne Perry is the artist behind this project. And since 2020 he decided to continue under this alias. 

Greenkomm DJ since when?
His first DJ performance in Germany was in 2017 for Naugthy party during the Gaypride Cologne, A year later he became officially a resident for Greenkomm where he was mostly programmed at the first or second dj slot. 

What style of music?
It’s probably the most difficult DJ to define with a genre. What makes him different than most other deejays is that he uses emotions and songs from very different types of music and is one of the best storytellers in the clubscene. Between Deep & Dreamy Trance combined with Energetic Tech Sounds with Melodic, Ethnic and Organic House and a Progressive touch among forgotten tracks from the past are typical ingredients of his recipe.

The Biography of Kenne Perry (LogiK Monkey, D*FOG, The Urban Funk Affaire, Dj KennIth)


Who is Kenne Perry?
It’s the guy who is first of all a deejay. 
Most deejays can be defined by a specific music style. 
In late 90’s he became a dj overnight. 
It was something he never thought of before even if he had been obsessed by 
music since the age of 4. In the mid 90’s you only had clubs and bars. His debut in 
the Belgian nightlife was innovating at that time. In no time this venue became one of
the hotspots of the West-European partyscene. It was during that time he created his 
unique vibe when he plays music. And what many don’t realise is that it’s not the music or 
songs that are important, but what you do with it.

It was only 5 years after he started mixing that he did his first club performance. His club debut was
at the most important club of Europe around that time. A lot of guest appearances followed. 
About 3 years later he became resident for a gay party in Brussels. The party grew into one of the big 
players of the gayscene. A few other residency’s followed. By the time he joined the team of La Demence in 2007
he had become one of the biggest DJ names in the gay nightlife of Europe and that with only a few performances outside
his native country. 

The way he joined the team of Europe’s biggest gay concept was not what most people would have imagined. That brings us to 
another part of what exact distinguishes him with any other deejay. The party at that time was already very popular and brought people from all over Europe monthly to Brussels. A dj spot on the main floor would have been the easy way and would have worked. But instead of that the small bar on the top floor was more challenging. For about 15 years this 3rd room was only used as a passage to the playroom. Because he had a few residencies at that time it started as a try out, but from the very first time he took over that forgotten and unwanted place, it was spot on. And just like in his early days he had found a venue where he was able the experiment with genres, timelines, etc. And the underdog position instead of the spotlight was not a bad thing after all. 

The Cruise was a gift send from heaven as it was the perfect event where he could showcase his diversity. And thanks to that annual event he learned the complexity of his identity as an artist. 
In 2007 it was time to bring his music back into the centre. A rebranding was part of that strategy. 
With the start of LogiK Monkey he disconnected himself from the name Kenne Perry. A name that is grown into a more clubby mainstream label. With this name he began a new chapter. And only a few weeks after the launch of the new name, he got signed at Europe’s biggest and longest running after hour club. This dj residency at Greenkomm in Germany and the headline spot at La Demence have made the debut of LogiK Monkey one of the most impressive things to accomplish. 


In 2019 another project was brought into life. D*FOG. 
It’s a project that is more focussed on house and disco that originally was created for some parties and bar dj performances. 
And then a pandemic brought nightlife into a deep sleep. The perfect time to brainstorm and work out some ideas for these two projects.
During that time he even brought back the name DJ Kenn Ith. The name he used in the first few years of his career. With that name he is creating some exclusive and very limited events based on the 80’s and 90’s Hi-Nrg and Italo Disco sound. 
And in the second part of 2021 the project that is revisiting RnB is called: The Urban Funk Affair
