Recorded as a rough demo, this is the final piece of an epic 15 minute song. Essentially, it's four different songs which thread into each other covering the elements of life - love/hate/hope/despair.
I like it, and hopefully you will too.. Maybe someday I'll upload the full glorious 15 minutes.

I really should update the recording of this demo but I am quite fond of the raw sound on this. Even if it is unflattering at times.. But it shares the sentiment of the song.

Average Joe (Rough 4trk Demo)

Music has always been a part of my life. My Dad was a singer, my brother a keys player - the first gig I can remember was my brother's band 'Mary White Aryans' playing Rock On The Watter - so I guess it's not much of a stretch to assume I would venture into such paths.
 August 25th 1992, I saw The Wonder Stuff play the Magnum Leisure Centre in my hometown of Irvine and it kickstarted - not just my love for the band but - my desire for creating music. A few years down the line my first band, 'Fixer', was formed . Typically in the beginning, we played covers of our favourite bands or artists before realising we had a sufficient amount of our own material we could perform instead. Plus it was a lot more fun. Being in a band is one of the greatest things.. but people move on, build a future.. Was great while it lasted. GREAT.
 Around 2010, I decided to begin performing again as an acoustic act and it's still ongoing today. So far I have been lucky to play many different venues playing sold out shows alongside such acts as Tony Wright of 'Terrorvision', guitar virtuoso Jon Gomm and Miles Hunt & Erica Nockalls of 'The Wonder Stuff'. Talk about full circle!
 But music to me has never been about glory - I do this because I love to create and play.. And for that wee moment someone nods, hums or taps along to one of yer songs. X
