This is a remixed version of a title theme I wrote back in 2011 for an unrealized film. 

Immortality (remix)

This is a quick demo I threw together for the first movement of a four movement piece I'm working on called Attractors. The actual instrumentation is violin, guitar, piano, cello, bass, percussion (cajon). In this demo I recorded the violin and cello parts on guitar because the midi sounded ridiculous. Quality recording coming soon.

Finally put together a presentable recording of this piece that I wrote back in the spring of 2014. Accompanying my guitar and voice is a mixed chamber sextet of flute, clarinet, French horn, violin, viola, and cello. Having recorded the sextet first during a live reading session with no click track, it was a considerable challenge to record my guitar and vocal parts later in the studio and get them to line up both in terms of tempo and tuning. But after a determined effort, I was finally able to piece it together (a mere two years and several abandoned attempts later).

Desert Showdown (2014)

From a collection of short pieces called "Loop Etudes." Each etude explores a different aspect of composing using loops. This one in particular is a study on the 3:4:5:7 polyrhythm.

This piece is an exploration of a perceptual phenomenon I call "channel switching." It's meant to depict (more or less literally) the way music presents itself to me in states of detached, dream-like consciousness.  Each section of the piece "tunes in" to a different channel. But all channels seem to be broadcasting the same idea, only from slightly different angles, as if through a sort of sonic prism.

A demo recording of a piece I wrote in the fall of 2016, first for guitar and loop station, later scored for full orchestra. Full band version in the works.

Rift (for guitar and loop station - demo)

Music for a short film by John Stallings. In the film the music fades out before the song finishes, and I never actually gave it an ending. Maybe I'll go back and finish it off at some point.
