Oh I came from old east Boston - an Italian Neighborhood - Where i made the best of being a vagabond - Hand me downs were a plenty i think i wore them till i was twenty - Cause in my household you better get it before it's gone - Woke up high went to bed the same you know this lost soul stuck in the game while mom was pinching pennies i was robbing them - I thank the lord for her turning a blind cheek her life was oh so bleak yet I'm that kid who coveted all from them - Half my life in another town - but that Eastie Noise comes spinning round this old man's head all that he's become - and i still can hear my mother say my son my son its all ok cause i have seen the soul that you'll become
