After playing the PF21 'Paradise Factory' pre-club party in August 2014 I've been asked by many to do a classics mix. I don't usually do them but I was feeling quite nostalgic so here you go... Not sure if you would class some of these as classics but they were all favourites of mine when they first came out 20 odd years ago! They were all played at either the Hacienda, Paradise Factory or the best pre-club bar in Manchester at the time 'The Athenaeum'. Hope you enjoy it!

Following Marshall on the decks and headlining the outdoor terrace was a DJ who was a regular guest at our Friday nights at The Music Factory & The Pleasure Rooms in the early 1990's and was on the line-up at our infamous. record breaking parties at Space, Privilege and Es Paradis in Ibiza....it was his first time playing for us for a good few years but it was like he'd never been away!! Arguably one of the best sets we've had the pleasure of witnessing on the terrace and here is the live recording....Give it up for Nottinghams finest, Mr Allister Whitehead! x

We know that we had no chance in getting close to recreating the fantastic atmosphere of the final party of Clockworks 25th anniversary in Ibiza this summer. 
The Mambo's after party in the back room of Savannha's was out of this world and full to capacity with in half an hour!
One of the maddest, fun and totally up for it dance floors we have ever had the privilege to play to. 
We have racked our brains and think we have managed to almost put our three hour set back together as best as we can.
So for everyone who has requested this (and there's been a lot!) hear is our "Back To Savannah" mix

Inspired by the 'Hacienda' live stream over the weekend and the fact I haven't done one for a while I thought it was time to do another classics mix. I don't usually do them but I was feeling quite nostalgic and as we're all on lockdown and can't get out, why not... 

As with the last classics mix from 5 years ago this mix features tracks that are all favorites of mine and were played at either the Hacienda, Paradise Factory or the best pre-club bar in Manchester at the time 'The Athenaeum'.

Every track has a special place in my heart and brings back fond memories of special moments in time out on the dancefloor.

Back to Love (Athenaeum, Hacienda & Home Nightclub Classics)(Part 2 - Home Nightclub 1994) - Mixed by Mark Anthony (January 2021)

Starting 2021 with a retro mix of some of the tunes I use to play back in 1994 at 'Home Nightclub' on Ducie Street in Manchester.

Saturday nights was named ‘Sat’ and featured the LuvDup boys Mark & Adrian in the main room, Paula ‘n’ Tabbs in the bar and The Slammin Boys in the back room. Friday night was ‘Discovery’ with Mike E-Bloc & Paul Walker in the main room and Richard ‘Moonboots’ & Bobby Langley in the bar. 

Musically the place was off the hook... It was like nowhere else in Manchester. There was no warm up as such, the beats were booming and full on from the minute you got in to the minute you left - there was so much energy in the place! Hopefully this will comes across in the mix. It was very reminiscent of places such as 'Progress' & 'Hot To Trot' in Derby & 'Club for Life' in London.

I got to play there a few times around 1994 and eventually became one of the resident DJ's there and played in all 3 rooms at one time or another. I was also one of the residents there when it got re-branded at a later date as ‘Fluid’.

This mix features the sound from 1994.  Another mix of the later stuff will follow....
