We’re back with another heavyweight instalment of our flagship series, and this one’s stacked with four fresh-faced rising stars who are about to shake up your playlists.

Kicking things off is Fabric8 - Scum. Aptly named, this one’s pure gutter business, dark, deep, and dripping with that grotty DnB flavour, but twisted through Fabric8’s unique lens.

Next up, Fusion Season - Intense. The name says it all. Huge production, razor-sharp execution, standout business from a talent who’s turning heads fast.

Third in the lineup, GRIBR & Trapped - Texts. Collab energy at its finest - a catchy vocal hook sets the tone before dropping into an all-out grot fest that hits hard.

Closing the EP, Kefrennnn - Hostage. Oozing style, blending multiple influences effortlessly, this unknown name won’t stay unknown for long.

Nitri follows up a slew of releases across V's family of labels with his debut EP on V itself and it’s been a long time coming! Having originally worked with Bryan Gee back in 2012 on Chronic's Big Bad & Heavy compilation series Nitri has been putting in the work, which has seen him release on Metalheadz, Viper, Horizons Music and many more. 

On the Metamorphoses EP his talent for shapeshifting is ever present as he explores the dancefloor sounds with the vocal support of the legends MC Fats on 'Vision', and the first lady of Roni Size's Reprazent collective, and one of the iconic voices of D&B, Onalee, on title track 'Metamorphoses'. 'Deep' sees Nitri team up with fellow Sao Paulo resident and regular contributor to Liquid V Andrezz for a liquid workout and on 'Turn It Around' Nitri goes solo with some experimental dancefloor vibes. 

With a style and sound that is constantly shifting, changing and evolving, it does not fit easily into any of the sub genres placed upon music today. Simply, it is deep drum & bass from his heart, straight to the dancefloor.

Murdock has, to coin a phrase, been on a Rampage through the D&B scene in recent years. And if that reference went over your head, you need to know he happens to be the organiser behind the spectacular, record-breaking Rampage events in Antwerp. Besides being a superstar promoter, though, he's also one of the hottest producers around, releasing multiple flavours of D&B on a string of labels including his own Radar and Rampage imprints.
 
The last time we saw Murdock on V Recordings was when he gave the world the bubbling-bass and unrelentingly rolling drums of “Tribes”. The classic junglist influence was clear and, this time round, he's doubled-down. “I Need a Riddim” and “Hypnotize” share the DNA of that old skool roller style but delivered expertly for a 2018 dancefloor.
 
If you need a riddim, “I Need a Riddim” has what you're looking for. Production geeks can play spot-the-break, as Murdock melds and bounces the patterns off each other, while the rest of us skank out up at the front feeling that scything thorax-shattering bassline. Then “Hypnotize” comes loaded with dubwise bass weight, with an extra dose of funk to keep the rave moving.
 
This is drum and bass music made by someone with a passion for the scene. Murdock's decades in the industry as promoter, deejay, and label boss are focused through a prism of bass and beats. Linking classic with contemporary, these are junglist rollers for the next generation.
