Roxy Music was/ is the local guitar shop in my town. After I got a cheap maestro Flying V for Christmas I begged my parents to bring me to lessons so I could rock. Finally, for my seventh birthday they signed me up at Roxy Music with a guy named Jeff Topp (Shoutout Jeff!) Despite my parents not being sure if I’d stick with it, I ended up taking lessons there till I was 15. The samples were from old recordings of me playing recitals there over the years. Yappage over.

This song is part of a challenge I created for the members of https://synthesis.audio. 

The prompt of the challenge was to write an ambient song inspired by an early childhood memory in only 3 hours. Each sound of the song is made based off of a different element of the memory. This is an exercise in creating for the sake of creating.

My memory as depicted here is one of my earliest. It's just a small snippet in time. I remember being home alone with my mom and sitting on the floor doing a Dinosaur puzzle with huge pieces. I can remember her reading in the background, and feeling the warmth of her presence behind me. I can also vividly remember a sunbeam coming through the window illuminating dust bunnies in the air. I did my best to make a full song out of this small snippet of memory.
