dang Kent! this is publishable as a poem alone and even more awesome as a song!  my words are worthless to respond to such a tremendous piece but some of the way the narrative is revealed reminds me of some of Tom Waits best songs (check out the album Closing Time if you haven't already). man, I might not give it justice, but I wonder if I could cover this someday?
