Some great layering in the instrumentation, power in your vocals, and with Joshua on the killer lyrics. Really well done. It's like the song keeps unfolding to show a new dynamic at each turn.

Brilliant use of Saturday and Sunday, and across town, among others, to illustrate that doorway!

The story starts and builds up the question "What's at issue here?" the you leave the listener supended. We'll never know. It's like, "what would Meat Loaf not do for love?" good one, really enjoyed it.

wow! love when the really close-feeling guitar solo comes in (creates a feeling of being in the room, really cool dimension/shape to recording it that way).  This is a really strong one Kent, I hadn't even gotten to mention the lyrics are a poem on their own but even cooler performed through this powerful song.  You are always really authentic when you go the nostalgia-oriented route and it's lovely, never gets old to my ears (and share that with Emma as well in her writing/work as well).

my humble opine is find a way to get that guitar solo to come back towards the end or just before the end (but it works without too but I really want to hear that again before it's over)

Great memorable melody in the chorus. Love the tension in the lyrics, and when your voice jumps an octave in the last verse. Very powerful!

Nice dynamic changes - the lightness and halting in the first verse vs the driving rhythms of the middle section, and when you switch to the "calling out" part of your voice - I'd love to have heard a final chorus belted out that way, but this is a really good song and it speaks to me today.
