Kutter About is Kusht’s personal postcard to his teenage days and younger self. The feeling of being young and spending the summer nights awake is not something he wants to forget. We try to keep our inner child alive but with the absence of festivals perhaps some of us lost connection to their childhood?

The songs reflect that feeling of being alive with friends and staying up all night to dance and talk a little nonsense.

Kutter About nods to the Kutter stage of Fusion festival and the Scottish term “Cutting About” which is to stroll aimlessly.
Connecting this album with the hope that people with a desire to Kutter About can do this whenever they feel like.
You might hear these tunes when you are out and about - we hope they will resonate in a playful, joyous way.

There are no doubts that Nicolas Jaar is a legend, that Andara is gold, but regarding Carminho, whom most of you probably do not know, she is one of the most amazing Fado singers alive, and my very favorite female singer for many years . It's hard to put in words the magic of her voice, the soul and perfection of her singing, and most of all, the heritage of Portugal and Humanity that Fado music represents. We are delighted for having such piece of art and sharing it with the Downtempo Community.

Thank you beloved Andara, you never stop bringing light, art and Love to our lives on a daily basis and we could not imagine life or Octo without you!

Cosmopolitanism is creeping into the bedroom studios of producers worldwide.
Romanski is another agent evolving transcultural hybrids, which blend from retained folkways to modern aged club grooves.
A mixture of electronic beats in a rigid machine order and handmade organic moments woven together to form an eclectic sound. With a bit of drama, the hamburg based dj & producer Romanski, invites you on a diverse journey with his unique vision of club music.
Balearic groove patterns accompanied by repetitive bongo motives & dimmed synth themes flow along the 4 tracks (2 of them featured on 7" vinyl) of this EP. The title track "Karma Calling" is a passionate homage to Mulatu Astatke, "Tagh Tagh" is surrounded by an Iranian children’s song, "Gaugin" features a Tahitian vocoder line about the french painter and on "Ants" Romanski reflects on lyrics that came to him when resident at a sanatorium years ago.
Romanski is using his custom sound range & tools to express his downbeat grooves in this well balanced release. Hide below or turn around the umbrella with devotion and delight.
