▌I What’s your history with music in general and DJ-ing especially?
I've been studying academic violin and piano since I'm 13 years old, later I've studied music production in New York and music composition at the conservatory in my hometown (Buenos Aires). I've been dj-ing for ten years now, I really enjoy it and it's always a creative experience to find new narratives with different musical genres, soundscapes and I like to play a lot with textures.

▌II How did you prepare this mix and what was your main inspiration?
I made the mix on Ableton and my main inspiration was the concept of sincretism, playing a lot with contrasts, break beats, folklore from latin america, spain and africa.

В 26-м выпуске нашего подкаста у нас в гостях Digital Ivan — это творческий псевдоним Ивана Денисова, электронного продюсера из Москвы. 

Иван — резидент клуба Powerhouse и лейбла Applique, и у него есть виниловые релизы на таких лейблах, как берлинский Toy Tonics, австрийский Pusic Records и американский Nervous. А еще он сделал крутые ремиксы для ELLA, DRIADA и LAVBLAST и отжигал на фестивале Signal. Иван миксует диско и хаус из разных времен и создает свой особенный звук, который сам называет пневматик-хаусом. 

Записали этот эпизод на вечеринке в честь дня рождения лейбла Samovar в июле 2024 года.

In the 26th episode of our podcast, we’ve got Digital Ivan joining us—this is the creative alias of Ivan Denisov, an electronic producer from Moscow. 

Ivan is a resident of Powerhouse club and the Applique label, and he’s got vinyl releases on labels like Berlin’s Toy Tonics, Austria’s Pusic Records, and the American label Nervous. He’s also done some awesome remixes for ELLA, DRIADA, and LAVBLAST, and has performed at the Signal festival. 

Ivan mixes disco and house from different eras to create his own unique sound, which he calls pneumatic house. 

We recorded this episode at a party celebrating the birthday of the Samovar label in July 2024.

Artists include Frikstailers, Thornato, Tremor, Maga Bo, King Coya, Psilosamples, El Búho, El Remolón Nicola Cruz, Rafael Aragon, Blocktreat, Prisma, Reptilian Commander, Barrio Lindo, Sidirum and Chancha himself, under his previous alias "Universildo".  The result of this selection is a powerful and experimental album where the unique sounds of Chancha dare to travel to new latitudes, catalyzed by the wide ranging vision of the remixers.

The album also features the special participation of Acampante, an Argentiniam multifaceted artist, who was encouraged to remix the original artwork ( Paula Duró's "Madadayo" ) in a fresh and fun way.

Zum Día de Muertos in Mexiko sagt man sich oft herzliche und respektvolle Worte, die die Erinnerung an Verstorbene feiern. Es ist kein trauriger, sondern ein bunter und fröhlicher Feiertag, an dem das Leben der Verstorbenen geehrt wird.
