Kenyo Alexandre Baly, born in Sint Maarten, January 3rd, 1996 fluent in both English and French. At the age of 6 he knew that music was his passion, often singing in church and honing this skill, at the age of 15 he moved to Long Island New York where he attended Uniondale high school and joined the Uniondale high school Show choir. He held the accolade as the first black singer to be awarded 'Best Male Soloist' at the national Show Choir competition in Manhattan New York; also being featured on national and international television channels such as ABC, NBC, FOX5, Newsday, Channel12, and CNN; and auditioned for the American reality talent show 'The Voice'. It is no question that music and performing is his calling and purpose. 

He returned to St. Maarten in 2012 and left his mark back home by winning the Telcel Breakthrough and Teen Times talent Showdown competitions. 

By the of age of 19, Kenyo had won many other singing competition between Sint Maarten and New York, he was seen as the undefeated. In 2017 Kenyo was crowned St Maarten’s Groovy Soca Monarch with his Soca hit 'Who Yuh Fuh?' Which the music video garnered over 100k views since its release. The following year he won the Groovy title once more with his hit “Infront Ah Me” which also hit over 100k views on YouTube. Kenyo is on top of the world.

"After winning the crowns, I told myself, you’ve made a name for yourself locally, now I want to be known internationally, this is my endeavor.'" 

His management at the time “Xtratight Entertainment” and Bertaux 'Mr. Rude' Fleming, knew that the Sint Maarten native had something special. After the island was hit and destroyed by category 5 hurricane Irma, Kenyo and his team found it best to released a reggae cover “Starting All over again” which touched many hearts. After one week of its release the video reached over 90k views, being shared across the Caribbean and the world.

Today, the 'Who yuh fuh' singer has performed throughout the Caribbean, the United States and Europe. He is a songwriter, composer, and social media influencer. Often posting covers on YouTube, Instagram and Tik Tok, in 2021 his duet cover (Rihanna’s Love on the Brain) with Parkwood artist Chloe Bailey, of Chloe x Halle  was recognized and reshared by Chloe herself. “This was a big stamp of approval” said Kenyo, thus gave him an extra boost of motivation.

Kenyo has a better sense of his musical identify and direction, he’s preparing for his up coming EP which is scheduled to be released in 2022, along with his newly established team.
