Cascine introduces producer Holly Waxwing with their Peach Winks EP, a nimble body of work that quickly shifts among disco house, fizzy pop and slippery footwork. Each track on the Peach Winks unfolds within itself and across the EP to unveil a collection of tracks that shine just as brightly on the Deep Web as they do in the club. Holly's previous single, "Chalant," was originally released on CSCN, Cascine's singles imprint, last fall.

Heard You're Doing Well, the second single from THIS PLACE EP, due out end of june,  is a brooding track that sees Retiree exploring interesting progressions and instrumentation. The song builds organically from a melancholic organ ballad into a slo mo boogie track as Tori's (vocalist) dad Paul Holleman contributes layered saxophone lines.
The lyrics of the song are an overdue conversation to a friend that is gone.

It's the kind of tune that just might change your summer from 'good' to 'unforgettable', with it's lush, laid-back rhythm and melancholic sun drenched melodies. Perfectly at home on the beach or below the setting sun.
Really proud of this and most happy to be involved in this project with Plastic World Sydney.
