 At the beginning of this journey, I wanted to make something unique; an exploration beyond my surroundings. With no title yet, my friends said it didn't fit too well into any category but it was something soothing to sleep or get high to. I would tell them artists should never force their talents into definitive boxes. That the range of creativity was never black or white, but a spectrum.

When I heard about the tragic events that took place a week ago, I was deeply affected. I had heard of a man by the name of Tree who personally knew 17 of the victims. This song is my dedication to him. The album my dedication to you and my response to those who would like to see the LGBTQ+ community lose our courage and fade into the background.

We are not cowards.

We should never be forced to fit into mainstream standards. Instead of bringing harm to the world for not conforming, society as a whole should find pride in celebrating diversity. Before judging, two important things come to mind.

1. We learn necessary lessons from those with opposing perspectives.

2. We are more than what we expose.

The album is now finished and I will be posting it throughout the rest of the week as free downloads on my Soundcloud for Pride month.
