Soleil Rouge introduit Premier Rayon. Une compilation réunissant artistes présentés et artistes à venir. Depuis 2020, Soleil Rouge se caractérise par la rencontre d’esprits souhaitant penser et partager des espaces de création sincères et sensibles au regard des bouleversements que nous connaissons. Premier Rayon résulte de la première édition de Paturia. Un séjour en communauté s’établissant à Mazirat (03), ayant pour cœur la découverte et la promotion d’arts musicaux et visuels.

Astraltopia is the third and final compilation in the Topia series, as well as the terminal release in the Astral Plane Recordings catalog. Made up of contributions from longtime APR artists and friends, Astraltopia traverses outgrowths of past label releases, novel sonic formulations and the infra-zones between and underneath extant club sounds. Accompanied by artwork from Sam Meier and mastering by Will Mitchell, the compilation follows 2012’s Heterotopia and 2015’s Psychotropia, both of which preceded the formal inauguration of Astral Plane Recordings. Contributions include material from Alis, Amazondotcom, CHANTS, Dane Law, LOFT, Maral, MICHAELBRAILEY (with Iceboy Violet), nunu and SHALT. Intimate Publics, Osheyack’s second album, is an homage to Shanghai, the city he has called home since 2012. Over the past ten years the producer has evolved from an avid club-goer to a key member of the vital soundscape that emerged from ALL Club and its predecessor, the now defunct club The Shelter. As hinted by the title, which draws on American social theorist Michael Warner’s work on publics and counterpublics, the album expresses a commitment to mining the utopian potential of club music, forging new worlds and generating future social relations, just as the artist bids farewell to the city at a moment of uncertain transition. While tracks like 'Edging' and 'Thrall' continue to present his signature collage of harder club music, the rest of the record reveals a shift to synthetic approximations of acoustic instruments. 'Still', the central track of the album, is a piece composed almost entirely of samples found on Vocaloid (a vocal synthesizer developed by Yamaha, commonly used to give voice to Japanese virtual idols). While echoing themes explored in previous projects, like the nature of realism and authenticity in a techno-mediated landscape, Intimate Publics is charged with an unexpected emotional candor and vulnerability, unveiling a personal side Osheyack is only beginning to explore.

Yukou / 遊光 is a combination of the words 遊 (play) and 光 (light). It can be directly translated as ‘wandering light’, but also can mean ‘God of fire’ or ‘Demon fire’. which is often used in Japanese to refer to the fire that accompanies a ghost.

Sporting remixes from Nahash, Tra Tra Trax’ Bitter Babe and Gorong Gorong’s Kadapat, ‘Yukou / 遊光’ leaves genre boundaries decimated in the pursuit of breakbeat and dembow abstraction. In the case of our premiere, a dancehall rhythm quickly descends into rattling, acid-tinged maelstrom.

The latest volley from @high_digital's inner sanctum comes courtesy of Egyptian producer @assyouti. 

Drawing upon Cairo’s feverish energy, ‘Shakhrama’ is a violent distillation of rhythmic ingenuity and squashed, caustic bass. It’s overdriven and precision-tooled; each track a stampeding onslaught more devastating than the last.

Presenting the title track, today’s premiere evokes his hometown’s noise polluted landscape with some rapid-fire rudeness. A deadly fusion of mutant bass ballistics and hi-NRG club deconstruction.
