Opening with a melodic basis overlaid by Swifts iconic vocals, the gradual intensification of beat and rhythm across the first 90 seconds lends itself smoothly to the surging progression with a symbolic kick-bass. Rising again throughout the bridge, the incorporation of trance elements for the second breakdown demonstrates Kepik’s abilities to merge genre’s and try his talents as something different.

With more of a ‘synthy’, soulful, atmosphere the remix heightens the senses through the the inclusion of trance-like chords, before returning to the more mainstream progression towards the end. Carrying energy throughout, Kepik’s remix reflects the experience of someone with far more than 2 years under their belt, a credit to his dedicated time and effort to improve and perfect his skills and material.

Hawaii-born and now based in Los Angeles, Kevin Cheung, better known as KEPIK, is a Chinese-American multi-genre dance music producer known for crafting immersive soundscapes and emotionally charged melodies. His music has found homes on top-tier labels such as Heaven Sent, Ophelia, and Lost In Dreams. Following his festival debut at EDC Las Vegas 2024 and a standout performance at the Ophelia Block Party in San Francisco, KEPIK continues to build momentum.
