Despite its size, Hydra contains only one reasonably bright star, Alphard, designated Alpha Hydrae. It is an orange giant of magnitude 2.0, 177 light-years from Earth. Its traditional name means "the solitary one". With the seventh release of the Sonic District, the label owner Kepikei brings two versions of the same track, Hydra (Escape Death) is a radio, DJ edit and the Hydra (Arp 220) is a 9 minute version with ambient outro.
