Set on the tropical paradise of St. Martin is SXM Festival. For a solid week it's a dance music lovers paradise. Events are held in unique locations throughout the island, all culminating to the main festival site during the night. I had the privilege of opening the Ocean Stage with a dream lineup that also included Sinca, Monkey Safari and Roy Rosenfeld. 

Set in the sand alongside the lapping waves of the Caribbean Sea, this is my two hour opening set. Starting the night off with an empty dance floor and some deep, dreamy ambient soundscapes. From here, we build things up...  Enjoy the mix!! 🙏 ❤️

I've always been a fan of the
Flow Sessions series and make it a point to listen to every mix.
The concept is refreshing — three hours, thirty-three minutes, and thirty-three seconds that
give a DJ the freedom to go deep, move beyond peak-time tracks, and let the mix truly
breathe.
For this set, I recorded the mix and added some layering and effects in Ableton, especially in
the intro. It begins with ambient and deeper cuts, like stepping into a room as the dance
floor
slowly comes to life. From there, the energy builds and holds steady before winding down into
a soft landing of melodic, moody textures.
I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed creating it. Thanks for the opportunity — and
my only request is this: play it loud.

Loot Recordings presents two standout originals from Amsterdam's Robin Fett backed with remixes from Doomwork, Stiv Hey and Kered.

A rising talent on the Amsterdam and European scene, Robin Fett demonstrates his ability to deliver a variety of styles that range from the crushing big room sounds of Trucco to the melodic deep flavors of Melodies in F#. Trucco is full on techno with its relentless stomping energy, pounding rhythms and synth stabs that all build together for the magical moments on the dance floor.

With releases on imprints such as Cocoon, Ovum and many other leading imprints, Italy's Doomwork hit all the right notes in all the right places. The remix incorporates an endless hypnotic loop that sucks the listener in, accented by vocal stabs and percussive elements that take the listener on an aural journey. Stiv Hey is a rising Italian name thats gained big time support from the whos who of the techno underground. His twisted remix of Trucco is driven by a massive bass line and punchy drums thats complimented by snares, cymbal crashes and build ups that work in unison to build the energy throughout the duration of the track. Label boss Kered winds down the beats per minute and turns in a remix with a deep groove thats powered by a masterfully swinging bass line, haunting background effects and warm pads.

Closing the EP is Melodies in F#, a track that shows the studio diversity of Robin Fett. A blissful, jazzy melody dominates the track with its overall uplifting sound that will stick in your head for days. The perfect track for the deeper moments of the night or a closing track to send people home with a smile.

Robin Fett - Trucco (Kered Remix)

For me, Markie Gee was one of the DJs here in my hometown of Hartford that had a huge influence. He would play vocal house, techno, industrial and anything that got the dance floor moving, but at the same time, introduced people to new sounds. 

This is my tribute mix for my friend Markie Gee who sadly passed away. It originally aired on Buzz Radio on KISS 95.7 hosted by Randy Boyer.
