Downtempo don’s Kermesse ease us to the finale with a sumptuous remix of the EP’s closer - Seeker. Capturing the original’s mellow tones and melancholic synths, the duo expands its reach with an easy-riding flow. A punchy bassline and revolving synth keeps mind and feet moving, as we delight in the XYZ debut from Mosso’s Argentinian compatriots.

While paradise-colored birds chirp from the trees and the moss-green lianas rustle to the beat of the wind, our boat glides gently down on the waves of the river. The symphony of the jungle enchants us with its very own harmony, chaotic and yet perfectly in tune.

Suddenly a pair of shining eyes piles up in the shallows of the water, followed by a monumental mouth full of crooked, grinning teeth. Amazed and curious, we recognize the silhouette of a hippopotamus that, with wobbling ears, tells us to follow its path.

Fascinated by the wild power of nature, we lag behind our new friend, while we hear a soothing sound from the distance, accompanied by a tremendous shaking of the earth.

As we slowly get closer to the scenery, we can hardly believe our eyes: an entire horde of hippos wiggles their hips up and down to the mesmerizing sound of a trumpet. Moved by this sight, we thank our friend and let ourselves carry away by the music.

The story above describes quite well the feelings we had in mind, while we first listened to the two tracks of the sympathetic swiss duo okuma. It was clear to us, that an EP had to be the result of this experience.

Moon’s Voyager, JPattersson, Kermesse and Kusht complement this tale with their beautiful interpretations. We want to thank all artists involved in this great release as well as Kilian Van de Water for the refreshing artwork and Haunted Water for the smooth mastering.

Premiere: okuma - Basoa (Kermesse Remix) [down.]

Following up on their debut transmission for A Tribe Called Kotori released in the winter of 2021, “Hypnos”, Berlin duo Acado returns to us with “Como te Llamai” featuring Vincent Marlice. Advocates of a lushly variegated, heavily syncopated electro-acoustic sound - grinding down the warm summer vibes of balearic along with a fine concoction of revamped Afro-funk tropes and classic housey chug, the pair dishes out a satisfyingly warm and infectious new specimen of their signature easy-going, nature-loving blends. 

Blowing the winds of Latin sensuality across the dancefloor, “El Aguante” takes us on a dreamy ride through mystique-imbued territories, xylophonic notes mischievously tobogganing down the octave ladder as the sturdy bass keeps us busy shaking our limbs in sync. Lead single “Como te Llamai” taps in a further jagged form of rhythmic expression whilst highlighting Vincent Marlice’s balmy timbre in the most delicate manner. Fusing brittle kalimba chords with a hip-rolling swing, world-pop accents and hazy atmosphere, Acado’s new cut is a polyamorous confluence of colours. Buenos Aires’ very own Kermesse duo cap it all off with a further slo-churning rendition of “Como te Llamai”, easing us in an effervescing smorgasbord of mangled folk riffs, patagonian jazz stabs and slo-drip hacienda hoodoo, bound to keep all booty-shakers in check throughout.

Jacob Groening delivers his japanese influenced Neko Ep. The Main title features the outstanding voice and lyrics from Kotoe, a Berlin based Brasilian/Japanese raised artist.
Neko is made for the club and is great to use when microdosing. Most elements in this track have been recorded in a studio and are handmade sounds. Xique Xique made a great remix that stripes down with his expertise on the main elements of the original track and the vocal. 

Suingu is a ride through a desserted japanese landscape. Warm and groovy feelings that are topped by handmade shamizen sounds wandering through the track. We are happy to have Kermesse remix Suingu and give it their special groovy Kermesse touch.

Neko Ep

Jacob Groening - Suingu (Kermesse Remix)[KAMAI MUSIC]

Seba Campos is a Chilean singer and electronic music producer currently living in Berlin. He samples his own vocals transforming them so they sound like Latin American samples from the 60s. The result is a colorful mixture of his South American roots and the influence of the electronic music scene in Germany.  His organic house hit Canto Al Sol reached 1,3M streams and stayed in Beatport Organic House top 5 for three consequent weeks and was played on many radio stations in Germany, Greece, Balkan Region and Mexico. 

Now Seba debuts on HMWL with Una Hormiga - a track about human life - Una Hormiga means An Ant in Spanish. It describes someone trapped in a routine, moving forward like an ant without questioning, reflecting on the lack of meaning in everyday life and criticizing modern society's tendency to follow patterns without questioning.

Seba Campos - Una Hormiga (Kermesse Remix)

LNDKHN proudly presents Holed Coin- Echo. This EP comprised of two original tracks comes from one of our usual collaborators on the label.

The first cut, Echo, bearing the EP name, features vocals from Maria Garcia and takes us into the deepest sounds with its powerful guitars at a steady horse's gait.  Rapossa, one of the most solid artists this year, and Roderic, fresh from his acclaimed debut on Katermukke, are both on remix duties.

Famous Stranger is the second original cut from this EP in which Jose Carlos AKA Holed Coin features his own vocals showing us another lesser known side of his craft. Our friends Kermesse from Argentina, bring their own vision on the remix coming fresh from the hugely successful LNDKHN013 Dub Kantine, which reached the top of the charts.

After very successful tracks on the last  two Summer Sol compilations, Sol Selectas is excited to present Polish artist Raidho, and his first solo EP titled “Rain Drops”

Inspired by Australian artist Peter Gundry, Raidho created “Rain Drops” by using some of the nature sounds and Indian Voices of the Peter Gundry original, and then fusing these organic elements with a driving electronic groove. The song transports us to another World entirely while keeping your feet firmly planted on the dance floor.  

“Mulinea” is an emotive track, which utilizes afro percussion, dreamy vocals, and uplifting melodies, a song Raidho says will “make us think about important things like love, peace and happiness.” 

For Remix duties we welcome Argentina’s Kermesse for the first time on the label, and they deliver an excellent interpretation of “Rain Drops”.  Upping the tempo a bit, adding some live instrumentaiton and some very psychedelic crescendos, they transport us even further into the galaxy with this remix. 

For “Mulinea” we enlisted our dear old friend Timboletti of Germany, who takes “Mulinea” and crafts 2 stellar remixes. The Sunset remix goes extremely deep and dubbed out, a tribal journey with a beautiful breakdown using the Horns from the original.  The Sunrise remix takes us on a techier trip with swirling arpeggios, gated vocals, and staccato percussion. 

The artwork by Helia Jamali is a doorway to the World of “Rain Drops”, where infinity dragons are playing with drops of life.
