really love the atmosphere of this track, particularly vocal, just not sure that this sitar (?) works though. Great work though man, you're a bit of a genius with samples!

You Check out a track called Mat Zo - The Lost. The really nice vocals here reminded me of it. I think if you tried to pull off something similar with these vocals it could be really awesome :).

Faedro is an Amsterdam-based DJ who brings out his rhythmic, percussive and bass-focused style with hints of latin and afro within multiple electronic music genres.

in his own words:

"The ability to beautifully create a story through rhythm, feel and sound that pulls the listener in and doesn't let go, is something I greatly admire in different artists within different genres. This is the reason why it was used as a starting point for this mix. Despite being very critical and selective, I am satisfied with the end result that echoes with me, because I think that the fundamentals of storytelling start with yourself.
 
Looking at myself with an open and honest mind, the concept of identity is an important topic in my life. Being born Colombian and adopted Dutch, I often run into the unintentional but natural search for my own identity. The difficulty of this search is something I do not often express, but which I always carry with me. Questions like "Who am I?" and "How do others see me?" linger on my mind. The mix therefore translates as an embrace of the search and these questions through music in which I combined the rhythm, feel and sound of my roots as well as the place where I come from and where I stand now with the future in mind. 
 
The club-ready mix opens slowly with the beautiful Latin-American soundscape of “Ecotone” by Bitter Babe and Nick Léon and leads through a selection of percussive and bass-focused electro and house ending with a vocal conclusion via an edit by Bok-Bok of Jazzy's house ballad “Giving Me”.
 
I really want to say thank you to everyone at POS, especially Tom, Lou and Anne for creating this opportunity, providing great care and making it such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the studio.

Depuis le milieu des 80's Betino est une légende chez les collectionneurs & amoureux du vinyle. Aprés 2 années à Radio Pygmalion il enchaîne chez le distributeur & importateur "Karamel Records". Puis finalement son projet magasin "Betino's Record Shop" ouvre ses portes en 1999 ou il devient logiquement incontournable pour tous les DJ's & amoureux de black music. En parallèle il monte aussi le label de Deep House "Straight Up". Mais Betino est également DJ quand on le lui propose et il sera donc sur Rinse France pour une "AFRO BEATZ SESSION" en compagnie de Maboul Basmati.
