Having become one of Crosstown Rebels’ key artists in recent years, Barcelona-born Tibi Dabo returns to the label this February with his latest EP, the four track Isla. Since debuting on the label in 2019, Tibi Dabo (AKA Max Guardans) has cemented his place amongst the Crosstown family with standout EPs such as Disbelieve and The Distance We Share, the latter of which featuring two remixes from David Morales.

Sharing his thoughts on Isla, Tibi Dabo asks “What to do with our time on earth? Find an island of joy and comfort, a modest retreat. A place to stay sane... I was feeling quite empty during our months of isolation, no influences and no external inputs. Then this idea of creating a conceptual island came to existence, an entity where I could play and put contrasting influences of electronic music together in one place. My little island was born, a space I feel as an optimistic outlook towards the future, something that I find hard to achieve.”

Tibi Dabo creates this scene perfectly as the title track opens proceedings, easing the listener in with delicate pads before waves of harmonious elements and finely placed percussions dance in and out of the track. Mothball then further emphasises the artist’s attention to detail as its lead melody and vocal-chops develop in tandem throughout. Brain The Cut follows, acting as a metaphorical signal of nightfall on Tibi Dabo’s conceptual island. Rounding off the release, Arp 8 delivers warming melodies atop of a subtle break beat in an exquisitely emotive manner.

Still in its infancy, yet mature in its intention, the Tibi Dabo project sees Max in his element; drawing on over a decade of playing and making music, perfectly demonstrated on Isla. Emerging from a new generation of multi-disciplined artists, Tibi Dabo’s refreshingly unique sound has also seen him remix for Crosstown Rebels head Damian Lazarus on two occasions. Determined and full of creative energy, Tibi Dabo thrives on producing music with no restrictions and, driven by his own need for exploration together with the support of influential industry figureheads, he has a locker full of fresh new music to unleash.

Another US legend joins the German house label. After Kai Alcé (EP on Toy Tonics in September 2023) and Joe Claussell who did an amazing remix for the label some time ago, now it’s DJ Sneak. 
It makes sense, as Toy Tonics stands for that funky mix of three main influences: original American soul-based house music, the italo disco heritage and the more London or Paris 1990ies wildstyle house sound. DJ Sneak reached out to the label last year, giving his props and showing love for many of Toy Tonics releases, and the guys immediately invited him to join the label with an EP as it's also his sound that is getting so popular again with the younger dance generation. So here it is: 6 tracks (4 on the vinyl) that remind the classic, bumping DJ Sneak sound. Full of energy and emotion. That has earned this world-class DJ, producer the affectionate nickname the Stevie Wonder of House music.

As a skilled multi-instrumentalist and Dolby Atmos certified recording engineer with a propensity for tinkering under the hood, Chandler strives to understand every aspect of sound recording and amplification. Kerri is constantly pushing the boundaries of recording technology and live-performance sound systems. When this talented DJ, and producer is behind the decks at notable venues as diverse as Printworks in London and Sub Club in Glasgow, you are guaranteed to be awash in quality music that reflects his experience as a global performer. You can never anticipate what you’re going to experience. With a discography spanning three decades, Kerri's first release Super Lover/ Get It Off on Atlantic Records in 1991 set the stage for what was to become a signature sound. His creations launched a wave of admirers and imitators of his deep lush chords and soulful grooves that stir emotions and movement. In his continuous search to inspire and nurture new talent, he forged MadTech Records and the eclectic Kaoz Theory imprints soon followed becoming the flashpoint for such artists as the Martinez Brothers, Seth Troxler, and Tony Lionni.

Kerri having just released his latest album the 24-track homage to international nightlife “Spaces and Places”, jumps headlong into the world of spatial audio with Dolby Atmos This new immersive sound format allows sounds to travel through a space not merely backward and forwards but circles in all directions. With the international support of club owners and engineers, a total of 24 iconic night spots were transformed into recording studios infusing each track with the full sound characteristics of the rooms they were recorded in. Spaces diverse as London's Ministry of Sound, Paris Rex, Berlin’s Watergate, Barcelona’s Razzmatazz, or New York's Knockdown Center creating a whole new layer of complexity and accuracy. “If I wasn’t working doing the stuff I love doing, I’d probably work at Dolby,” Chandler says. “My job became my hobby, and my hobby became my job.”

Kerri's latest series of dates brings all of this time and attention full circle combining the meticulous attention to sound, atmosphere, and craft that ensures that you will be taken on a musical adventure second to none.
