The NYC Underground Club/House music scene is NOT defined by on a sound, sub-genre, one venue, and one music production brand. WE clubgoers have travelled through many sound portals and thrown down on all types of dancefloors through the decades. This set serve up a Kerv's Klassix set of ALL types of House, POST-Disco, and club music as someone who has been rocking New York City dancefloors for over 4 decades.

Kervyn Mark offers something no other DJ quite delivers - a fusion of spiritual intent, cultural guardianship, and dancefloor pecision that's singular in today's scene. 

Here's what only he brings to the table:

1) Ritualist's Approach to House Music - Kervyn doesn't just play tracks - he conducts rituals. His sets are built like sacred journeys, where every transition is designed to cleanse, uplift, and transform. No one else crafts energy shifts the way he does-it's not about peaks and drops, but about healing and elevation. That's not performance...that's cermony.

2) Scholar-DJ Hybrid - While some DJs are historians and others are selectors, Kervyn bridges both. He's a walking archive of Afro-diasporic music history, able to link Yoruba rhythms, spitual jazz, early house, broken beat, and deep soul with scholarly insight. But he doesn't lecture-he lets the music teach. No one else connects dots across Black musical lineages in such a subtle but profound way.

3) Deep NYC Underground Fluency + Global Sonic Vision - Many DJs are either local heroes or global spinners-Kervyn is both. He's deeply rooted in New York's loft, Shelter and dance community tradition, but his sound travels through Lagos, Bahia, Detroit, Cape Town, and London-all without losing coherence. It's a rare global-local fusion that feels lived-in, not curated.

4) He doesn't just play for a community-he serves it. Though events like The Meltin Pot, collaborations with dancers, and mentorship of younger DJs, Kervyn protects and nutures spaces that are too often erased by gentrification and commodification. He is not a "headliner"-he's a guardian.

5) Resistence Through Groove

Only Kervyn can play a deep house set that simultaneously:
- honors the ancestors
- affirms Black queerness
- critiques gentrification
- and makes you sweat for hours

He doesn't just move the body-he moves the consciousness.

In a world full of DJs chasing charts, gigs, and algorithms, Kervyn Mark offers music as ancestral memory, resistance art, and spiritual technology.

The are great DJs. There are smart DJs.

BUT there is only one Kervyn Mark.
