Stripped bare, unburdened by assumptions, and laid before the world to see, Monk Monté unveils a release and accompanying video, that shares the spiritual journey he has taken from his first breath of life to this very moment in time. The story follows the evolution from a young boy starting in the Pyramids of Mother Africa, making his way full circle back to the Trinity Hills of his current home in Trinidad & Tobago, paying respect to all the magical steps along the way.

The evolution of self is personified through the characters in the video, two of which are played by Machel's very own son and father.

The moving number, “On My Way”, is a soulful tale and tribute to the land and musical culture, Machel was predestined to arise from and grow within.

Powerful lyrics intertwined with riveting drums and emotional visuals, paint a poignant picture of heritage alongside an innate connection to the birthplace of Soca.

Springing from this music, produced by Starblu and co-written by Tishon Singh & Machel Montano, is that intangible warmth, and effervescent joy these islands are well known for.

This is a track which will touch hearts and lead souls to sing in euphoric frenzy, as they celebrate the blessing of just being alive right here and right now.

The video and song was launched on CNC3, one of Trinidad & Tobago's premier national broadcasters.

Mesmerised by the allure of these precussive instruments himself, Preedy questions what exactly is it about these drums that create such untamed physical energy in any environment these heartfelt vibrations are uttered and amplified. This contribution assembles an analysis of these heavy instruments inherent in the production accompanied by timeless melodies and unfathomable harmonies that evokes, very accurately, what is felt with the power of the drumbeat. 
Creatively executed, Preedy lyrically manifests not only a tutorial on drums but simultaneously adheres to the concepts of what the music is protraying whilst developing a catchy infectious rhythmic flow. When supported by the predominant drumbeat it inspires ruction, and an uninhibited rebellious behaviour that agrees with the attitude of the track.

The Rebel Panda Riddim is the first journey into the Music x Fashion project. This marriage bore its first fruits in the form of Jamaican-born, Vincentian-based DJ, John Rickards aka Captain John’s very first production. The project, co-produced by Vincentian producer, Kubiyashi, features some of Vincy’s top artistes - Skinny Fabulous & Problem Child as well as young veteran in the business Hance, new comer Reka and some Antiguan energy by way of multiple Soca Monarch champion Tian Winter. The element of fashion is achieved by a close collaboration with Vincentian fashion brand, Peta Odini and its Animal Farm series print, Rebel Panda.

The Rebel Panda print inspired the artwork for all the tracks, created by graphic design maverick Nadia Huggins. See, the Rebel Panda Riddim isn’t just about sound, but also about lifestyle, and as such, a Rebel Panda Riddim printed apparel series will be created for Rebel Panda-sstepping to the riddim of this soundtrack series.
