Innerbloom

The Sunshine Brewery EP.

A collection of tracks made between 2013-2017. All from the one folder that was on my computer when my external hard drive 'disappeared'.
About half of the songs in that folder made it on to the EP.
Made with care in spare time, in right state of mind, and parallel to studies, shenanigans, and life.

Trepidation - The song was born as a soundscape-y intro (which didn't make the final cut), and was a work-in-progress for almost two years. Bursts of productivity here and there led to the natural growth of what is probably the core song of the EP, lyrically and musically.

Hopefully - The 'newest' song in the EP, in the late summer of 2017. And also the first of a new style, where I approached arranging in a simpler fashion. The piano-riff in 7/4 was the core idea. I wanted to present an odd-time signature in a fluid way, and give more room to live-instrumentation.

Savara - Cosy. Peak of my interest in electronic cinematic music. One of the first songs that I recorded vocals for. The one (and only (ever)) song that I play a regular Bb clarinet, which was lent to me by a good friend('s dad.) I played intensively for about a week, and during that week the end-wail was recorded. Said friend also plays various shakers on this song (fan Simon ,du e tung)

Reign - based on a bass clarinet sound that I sampled and chopped. I was lucky enough to be able to play on the school's bass clarinet at the time. Mostly playing folk stuff live, this was the one proper recording I did of the bass clarinet while I had one to play. (If you know of a bass clarinet that is seeking a loving new owner, please get in touch.)

Soaring - A mood. Albeit a not-so-common mood.. A mood nonetheless. Of all the instrumentals on the EP, this one will receive a vocal makeover.

Madiba - The first song written for the EP. I woke up, without an alarm, at 4:30 am on December 5, 2013. Wide awake. I opened Logic and in about an hour the song was basically finished. (The end-part came at a later date.) Following this gush of creativity, I checked my phone, and the first thing I saw was the headline of Nelson Mandela's death.

Spanish UNER has built a high reputation around the globe and after many years he brings his huge talent back to Sincopat for an extraordinaire release. These three original tracks come accompanied an amazing twelve-minuted remix by 'il maestro' Luca Bacchetti.
'Waters Above' opens the EP with a super special atmosphere full of dreamy pads and melodies. Exquisite notes are sounding in the magic breakdown in a theme that comes back even more organic that in the beginning. Luca Bacchetti takes the control for the remix elaborating a stunning composition worth of a film with different parts and passages: just the intro already tells you this is promising. This is sensual, eclectic but also notice the club-treatment. Second original propose from UNER is a bass-leading production called 'Firmament' where you can feel a beautiful treatment into a neverending build up full of epic. Closing this electronic journey, we have the awesome 'Pieces' an absolutely golden downtempo track.
