This song was crafted last fall when metic was still in Hong Kong, and it was sort of an ode to the many nights where he would walk around the city of Hong Kong, often with hisheadphones on finetuning my mixes. Read on for the full backstory:

Neon Hour is a new double single concept that he is releasing along with Ed of @mredrollo. For the uninitiated, Ed is a do-it-all house producer, ableton certified instructor and videographer who is fresh off a bout with cancer. I met him in Hong Kong and dude’s been an inspiration when it comes to being a creator and a fighter.

How this evolved into a double-single actually began with him performing Neon Hour at an Ableton User Group livestream hosted by Ed, who approached him not long after about wanting to do a house remix. He was particularly drawn to the lofi/ambient sample that drives much of Neon Hour, so he sent it over and Ed took it to whole new spacey dimension...
