‘Less Faith, Lost Humanity’, is the result of the core concept of ‘Thing’, from the unreleased album ‘hope’.

Up front I would like to thank Terrance Alexander Maxwell for everything.

While he may not feature as an instrumentalist in the sonic component of this work, his participation in particular has been instrumental to the expression of the core concept as a whole.

This is included in the work, and is roughly analogous to an exploration of the relationship between physics and mathematics that has been a key component of the focus of this project since it’s inception.

‘Thing’, and in fact the album construction of ‘hope’ as a concise piece, I found to be too blunt (read autistic) and I felt that I could convey the concept with more subtlety, in a manner more amenable to non-confrontational translation.

That being said, the concept of ‘Thing’ is not incorrect nor incoherent, and it should be included as a notable extension addition to this piece as it (the piece itself and the concept) appear throughout the test phase of experimentation to large degree.

What I have done with ‘Less Faith, Lost Humanity’, is to take the core concept and seperate it into more discrete, easier to digest fragments, that still maintain the core of the extension-able frame through performative aspect.

It is therefore important to keep in mind that this/these piece/pieces are fundamentally related, through a context/concept that you as an individual component characteristic by definition do not have the entire picture of and, in fact, neither do I as the author.

To be more specific, three words to keep in mind are:

Spatial.

Sequential.

Temporal.
