With Winter now behind us, the mighty Division stable ready a genre-spanning, decibel-bothering 6 tracker from Netherlands based Posij, that’s set to make incisive moves on both club and festival floors alike this Spring.
 
The young Dutch producer is a relative newcomer to the scene but after just one release on Noisia’s imprint, he can already count the likes of Flying Lotus, Pendulum, Chase & Status and Skrillex amongst his influential, tastemaker fans.
 
Fresh to the stage he may be, but sonically and stylistically his sound reflects a skill and aptitude well beyond his years. Drawing influences from raw Hip and Glitch Hop, trap, D&B and today’s frenetic bass culture – you’ll find that Posij employs a variety of aural textures and approaches to help create his expansive, painstakingly fresh sounding music.
 
Leading the pack and demonstrating this unique cocktail from the word go on his new EP, are title track ’28 Hz Scream’ and Borrel collaboration ‘CV Promode’; both of which snarl their way through cocksure drum breaks amidst their own unique, bit-crushed whirlwinds. These opening cuts then tee us up perfectly for the desolate, dubby soundscapes of ‘Duikbril’ - whose sparse muffled swells permeate the ominous synth washes that loom above. ‘Laserfilth’ wears it’s heart firmly on its sleeve, delivering a powerful and uncompromising, electro-shocked stomp, while ‘Close Call’ is a gritty and rifling D‘n’B / Drumstep hybrid with schizophrenic bite. Ultimately ‘Trident’ unleashes a blaze of course funk to wrap up what is an EP of organic-meets-electronic bass music of the highest order and the second surefooted step in what’s shaping up to be an exciting career for the Groningen resident.

Celebrating 20 years of Stay Up Forever’s firebrand Acid Techno label and the hedonistic underground scene it championed (now on their 100th vinyl release and still going strong!), the label has decided to end the year of SUF100 events with the mother of all parties, combining forces with London’s finest Techno party crew and seminal London label: HYDRAULIX for the first time ever, in a massive three room warehouse location. Expect the phattest rigs, production and line-up the capital has seen for some time with music provided by London’s finest Techno visionaries taking you on a journey through the sickest Acid Techno to the darkest throbbing Techno, no compromise, United in vision and musical purpose, dedicated to the sound of underground Techno across the spectrum.

Stay Up Forever and Hydraulix will be joining forces with London Warehouse Events for this historic venture, who currently run the cream of underground techno parties in London, including: Chris Liebing’s ‘CLR’, Adam Beyer’s ‘Drumcode’, and Sven Vath’s ‘Cocoon’. This will be a collaboration that takes Techno back to the underground on a massive scale to throw a party that will shake the foundations of London.
