Berlin based, Italian born, Alessandro and Federico Fognini are not just brothers in arms but actual brothers who have been growing up together their whole lives. Which might help explain why these 2 recent arrivals on the scene have already established a sound much more mature than their years might suggest.

It's this intense maturity that they bring to this debut EP. With a sonic depth acquired by many hours already logged in the studio and a sophisticated world view that comes across in the stories their music tells, Mind Against (as they are more formally known) make pictures with their sound and their pictures tell more than thousands of words could tell alone.

On their Atlant EP they paint us a picture of lost civilizations and intergalactic missionaries. Transdimensional creatures that visit us in our dreams and in our visions, bringing us coded messages about the future from a place beyond time. Where everything can be reduced to vibrations and controlling sound waves is akin to controlling a physical reality. With a throbbing beat and epic melodies they build towers of steel and halls of philospher's stone. Places of thought and worship where futurstic sounds hold court with swinging percussive beats, telling us tales of how we can work together to overcome the challenges of our immediate circumstances and reunite the illusions of our separate selves once again into a whole being. A whole and complete universal concsiousness with a deeper understanding of its true self.

Gritty, growling and peppered with tripped out twisted samples and loopy loopery, it’s designed for the deepest, darkest of warehouses where your only friends are the lasers and bass bins.

Hot Creations hit us with another monster of a release this time from Tom Dinsdale (ex-Audio Bully’s) under his new project Mineo. Title track ‘Turn Out The Lights’ is an intoxicatingly deep groover with a dense low riding bassline, punchy warm chords and an infectious dark male vocal adding a real standout element for the dancefloor. Over on the B-side label head Jamie Jones is on remix duty to deliver one of his best, picking up the pace and turning it into a deep and powerful techy monster, twisted and dark, perfect for the later hours. On a more uplifting tip, the second track from Mineo ‘Off The Handle’ again carries that distinct UK sound. Bass heavy with perfect underlying swing the track twists and turns through different percussion patterns with captivating distorted vocals riding through the many layers.

Tom Dinsdale aka Mineo has been buried away in the studio for the past eighteen months working on music for his new solo project. Sending the tracks to Jamie Jones and Lee Foss as demos, they were soon snapped up and have become a staple part in both of their sets, smashing dancefloors worldwide from Ibiza to Burning Man festival.

Busier than ever with his hectic schedule, Jamie Jones has been touring as a solo artist but also along with Lee Foss, Ali Love and Luca C as their Hot Natured band, headlining their own events at the likes of Brixton Academy and festivals including Sonar and Glastonbury. Along with this Jamie has been running his Paradise night at DC10 in Ibiza for it’s second year with huge line ups featuring big names like Richie Hawtin and Loco Dice but also the new artists Jamie is pushing such as wAFF and Patrick Topping. Finding the time somehow, Jamie has also been hard at work in the studio producing music with the Hot Natured crew with a recent debut album release and also doing a number of remixes for his three record labels.

The latest Saved output comes from One Records co-owner and Berlin-based artist Subb-an.
For his release Subb-an presents "This Place", a record which is deep, groovy and is laced with a very catchy vocal. Finishing off the release is label boss, Nic Fanciulli who delivers his rendition on the flipside with a very cool sharp remix featuring several of the original parts as well as the vocals and works it to great effect.
An all round great package which will be dominating dancefloors to the close of the year and well into 2012.

Move Body, Move Forward (Original mix) - KLASSE RECORDINGS

For its 4th release Mesmerize Musique moves to the western part of Europe, in order to catch one of the most talented Portuguese dj, producer and cofounder of Composite Records: Tiago Fragateiro. "Numb" is a soft, gentle track that makes the listener fall into a relaxed state of mind thanks to a delicate piano background and a deep, enveloping soundscape.
The first remix comes from Javier Carballo (One Records /La Vie En Rose /Overall Music) and is for sure a killer rework injecting the original with strong beats that you want to listen to and dance over and over.
Robot Needs Oil's (JETT Records/Acker Records) approach reflects his usual eclectic point of view, fresh and mental sounds are throw in the mix and the result is something that makes you trip in a whole new world. 
Last but not least there is the interpretation by AlexFX: his great bassline, melodic synths, a mesmerizing acid touch and the well placed stop and restarts will leave you without breath from the start till the end
