The song, with its various samples, uses weaponry references as a powerful symbolism for the intensity and passion Kev puts into his beats, ready to battle other producers. The Art of War excerpt in the intro sets the tone for the track. Larry June vocals were sampled from “Tangible Assets” for the hook.

Los Angeles–based producer Kev Da Khemist unveils Crack Cocaine, a glitched-out modern boom bap instrumental infused with vintage synths. This track is an audio narrative that revisits one of the most devastating eras in recent U.S. history. From the streets of American cities to the jungles of Nicaragua, the beat echos a chilling reminder of how deeply government actions and international conflicts shaped the crisis. 

Musically, Crack Cocaine draws heavy inspiration from Italian electronic music pioneer Giorgio Moroder, known for his work on films like Midnight Express and Scarface. The track builds a gritty, cinematic soundscape over a slowed down Lindstrøm sample, layered with rich vintage synthesizers, ominous piano lines, Latin percussion, and thick, hard-hitting drums. A vocal snippet from Sea of Darkness by Los Angeles hip-hop duo Coyote adds another haunting layer.
