Well my friends this was the last show I did live for the BBC and I am very proud to have 13 Essential Mixes under my belt. It was very important for me to bring the BBC back to the best wee country in the world to where it all first began for me as a boy. Dam I think we took over the airways for 6 hours this last time? This was unprecedented, Radio 1 went all out to give me a huge send off. Much love to all my crew and the big wigs Matt Priest, Ian Parkinson, Hue, Emma, Ben,Tom & Charlotte ❤️
I know plenty of you lot flew over to N Ireland from around the world and what a turn up it was. This is a photo from the night of me and my brother. It means a lot - this photo- as this is the club my brother used to go as a kid, it was then called Kellys ⭐️it was a huge honour for me to play there and share this night with him and all of you. Plenty of bangers and jaws going mental the whole night. One to remember for sure.
I haven't listened to this show for a very long time as it was a very emotional time for me. Not only was it my last Radio 1 Live broadcast but I found out the next day that my dear friend and driver had decided to take his own life and didn't make the show. RIP The Captain We all miss you xxx 
I listened to this mix last week for the first time in all those years and dam I'm pretty proud of it, proud that I stepped outside the zone and took a huge chance musically. At times the crowd were not totally with me as I started out quite slower than they would normally hear from me but I knew that I was going to rip there face off if I could just keep them with me to the end and you didn't disappoint. Much respect and as always thank you for indulging me 🤠 I would love to hear your thoughts. What was going on in your head when you heard the music ? Were you surprised, Pissed off or were you excited for something different ? Or were you to twisted to know what day it was 😭
