MAREA, the alias that María Arango, DJ & producer from the city of Manizales, who for a little more than 10 years has resonated in the underground nightlife of Colombia, co-founder of @nottnottla and the @discoshechizos label.

Procedente de la ciudad de Pereira, el productor Gotshell debuta en Bpitch Berlin con un amplio y potente EP de 8 pistas, con sonidos de sistema modular crujientes, producido en solidaridad con las protestas en curso en su Colombia natal.

Gotshell se hizo un nombre a través de apariciones en Mord, Planet Rhythm, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, EPM y Blueprint de James Ruskin. Prolíficas, diversas e impredecibles son sus producciones que entrelazan loops clásicos de techno de la vieja escuela, IDM, breaks y ruido experimental. Como intérprete en live,  sus sets son libres y psicodélicos, y han sonado en festivales como Freedom en Colombia y Jungle Groove en Ecuador, además de clubes underground en Chile, Argentina, Perú, Ecuador, Colombia y Tresor Berlin le han valido un seguimiento internacional.

Rezagados es un clamor contra la represión de la disidencia por parte del gobierno colombiano y la creación de lo que el productor llama una "realidad distorsionada que minimiza la esperanza".

A lo largo de 8 pistas, Gotshell está en pleno vuelo, desde el tecno rítmico cruzado retorcido hasta el IDM intrincado. Momentos de oscuridad se equilibran con destellos de luz, sonidos de la naturaleza y una euforia penetrante, antes del clímax profundo y retorcido del EP. Es el sonido de un productor inquieto y decidido a resistir.

María Arango A.K.A. @Marimarea, is in charge of WOMXNIZED 005 and does it in an alternative way.

Founder of the NÓTT label together with Andrea Arias and Julianna, they intend to visualize and encourage the female presence on the electronic scene in Medellin, through netwotking, showcases and workshops.

Marea oscillates between industrial sounds, EBM, electro, techno, synth wave and italo disco.

In 2017 he participated with Gladys and Andrea Arias in the streaming of the first South American tour of the famous Dutch radio Red Light Radio.

In 2018 Marea launches its new A.K.A. Fata Morgana, with whom she focuses on electronic sounds from the 80s and 90s such as synth wave, italo disco, and new beat.

Marea is constantly exploring sound in her arts career and her productions are about to come to light.

Gotshell a.k.a Alessan Main, is the great ambassador of the Colombia
electronic music scene. After his first release on the legendary Techno imprint, Planet Rhythm in 2014, over 10 more releases, 12 ̈,
came out on labels like Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Epm music and James Ruskin ́s Blueprint. His Remixs on two of the most historical acid techno foundations, Synewave and Missile Records, got attentions from many of the keys djs in the scene.

Such as Carl Cox who signed him on Intec under his alias Alessan Main. Another project of Alessan Main, was collaboration with Dantiez
Saunderson on Kms records, Kevins Saundersons label. Unpredictable
Rhythms, kaotic and psychedelic soundscapes describes his live sets
that have brought him regularly to every part of his home country,
Colombia and a successful European Tours last year (2017) that ended at the Tresor Club, Berlin. Inspired by the first wave of old school techno, mixing the advanced sound of the genre and expanding deeper into even more electronic and instrumental music styles like IDM, ambient, experimental, dub, just to name some xamples. 

Gotshell is an artist who always hopes to maintain an aesthetic and refined composition of the underground culture.
