Away” saw the light of day in august 2015 through @ETONMESSY Records(UK). With only one record out so far and a second single coming soon through The Magician’s “Potion” imprint, LIMITS performed at a sold out event during the latest edition of ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event), a sold out Electric Brixton
in London alongside Jax Jones and Mike Skinner and a peak time show in a packed warehouse during Europe’s most important showcase-festival Eurosonic. Amongst LIMITS first fans are The Magcian, Netsky and Crookers. Needless to say that with a lot of eyes and ears are pointed at him, the future looks bright for LIMITS !

Starting his career spinning records in the nineties, Larse very quickly made a name for himself in Germany. Bagging a residency with his very first DJ gig at the Tanzcafé in his hometown of Dortmund, his skills on the decks caught the attention of 1LIVE Radio (Europe’s biggest youth radio station and Germany’s equivalent to BBC Radio One) who gave him his own show. Larse hosted 1LIVE “Klubbing” alongside Mike Litt for over 15 years, earning him a nomination for the German Dance Award, many loyal followers as well as national and international bookings along the way

Wrapping up a hugely successful summer of shows and releases on the likes of Toolroom, Definition and Glasgow Underground, Hamburg duo Piemont drive four hours due south to Halle: home of Monaberry and its consistently timeless, deep and evocative house signature.

A label where the groove takes the comfiest chair in the house and rich servings of atmosphere and funk are actively encouraged, Monaberry offers the perfect canvas for Piemont’s distinctive dreamy sound. As proved right here…

‘Spin Off’ is no re-run: a subtly jacking drum arrangement provides the perfect bed for gentle synth lines to ebb, flow and purr over the undulating bass pattern. Vapour trails linger behind, overlapping with their own counter textures to create an almost cosmic experience.

‘Ghetto Bird’ flips the bird with its deliciously formula-free bravado. Its tech groove is peppered with classic stabs, delicate arpeggios and mild traces of sax soul as we ride into oblivion with red face glee.

Remix-wise two of Monaberry’s finest apply their own twists to the tales: Nicolas Masseyeff toughens up the vibe of ‘Spin Off’. Here more emphasis is placed on a dubbier metallic bass tone and an overwhelming synth hook that hammers with beautiful insistency.

Finally Bebetta strips ‘Ghetto Bird’ down to a naked rhythm and re-clothes it with silkier, looser garments, each one hanging off the arpeggio that blossoms from muffled and textural to a full emotion-rich feature piece in a complex, sense blurring way.

Two star-lit originals. Two planet hopping remixes. Yet another beautiful moment in time and space from Monaberry.

After launching late last year with an EP from Australian golden boy Mall Grab, @ShallNotFade has powered into prominence through a highly productive 2016.

Contours' (@tom-burford) contribution to the label, a four-track EP titled ‘Loose Wood’, marks another fine instalment to its impressive discography, featuring a Ross From Friends remix to round off the tracklist.  

‘Loose Wood (Ross From Friends remix)’ stretches out the complex percussive rhythms of the original and raises it to a higher realm of bliss with tranquil chimes and doses of reverb.

Futureproof is a song of stirring hope and intent, with production that hints towards an early evening dancefloor warm-up. Christa has enlisted the help of indie pop artist @AmateurBest (Brille, Double Denim) to create a wiggly leftfield version of the original. This is followed by a strong radio friendly dance-pop remix by the prolific London producer @RussChimes (Uno Maas), harking back to Christa’s love of late 90’s electronica with definite echoes of Everything But the Girl. A third remix by LA-based house producer @Rhythm-Operator (Let’s Play House, Glasgow Underground) provides a soulful underground house cut also bringing to the surface some exquisite backing vocals by Michael Tyrrell of London pop group @wearesuns

„Auf den Sound von @nilshoffmannberlin ist immer Verlass“, ist sich @kallias Music, Label aus Berlin, sicher. Der junge Musikproduzent, der einen der ersten trndmsk-Podcasts ablieferte, hat mit „Time“ ebendiesen neuen Sound geliefert.
