Full length mix! Now that it's extended I wanted to explain why and how I made this mix:

Recently I went to Elements Music Festival and had the pleasure of seeing Lane 8 for the second time. It was nothing short of magical. While it was full of different songs, each felt independent from another in the sense that they each took me on a separate journey through time and space. With each song, he didn't quickly cut in and out, instead he let long forms of songs play which enabled me to really immerse myself in the sound and (this is corny I know) feel one with the music. I wanted to emulate that same feeling with this mix. It features Lane 8 heavily, along with other Anjunadeep and This Never Happened masterminds. Please enjoy, as this is my favorite mix I've worked on yet.

I like to make music with a some sort of image or scene in mind. For this track it was falling into a an unknown city, such as in isekais, and being able to see and change things despite not truly belonging there.

Back with another mixtape! This one is predominantly progressive house and stays true to the long-form style of mixing I did in my summer mixtape. It was greatly influenced by performances I saw recently from the likes of Camelphat, Afterlife, Ben Bohmer, new releases from Lane 8, and oldies from Cristoph.

It begins with a moody but uplifting atmosphere as I wanted to emulate the beginnings of fall and the changing of the leaves. As it progresses, the mix changes to emulate the coming of winter, the air getting colder, and the days getting darker. The tracklist will be in the description following some thoughts I wanted to include with the mix!

People tend to ask why the songs are so long or why I don't transition out of songs faster. This is because I believe the listener should be offered the opportunity to completely immerse themselves in each song, especially when it's music that they're hearing for the first time. The person listening is oblivious to what's coming and will need time to decide whether or not they like what they're hearing. As the song progresses they eventually feel it out and decide "Wow, this song is pretty good, I can't wait to hear the rest of it." I want to provide the satisfaction of hearing the rest of a song without transitioning out of it too soon. If a person is really enjoying a song, here you go, another 2 or 3 minutes to get into it. Don't really like it? Give it 2 or 3 more minutes to change your mind. This is why I prefer long-form songs when it comes to my mixing!
